Freon needs Q’s at Mt. Hollywood so YHC decided to drive the extra five minutes and post in my old stomping grounds.  YHC had no Weinke planned by design because I was anticipating modifying ideas depending on who showed up.  To my surprise, we had  8 PAX as we started the warmup and then three late arrivals showed up to give us eleven.

Breaker Breaker brought along some coupons to modify his workout due to a recent injury.  I stop this backblast to share an important point!

IF YOU ARE HURT, YOU CAN DO SOMETHING.  YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STAY HOME.  YOU CAN SHOW UP IN THE GLOOM, BE WELCOMED BY YOUR BROTHERS, AND ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING.  DO WHAT YOU CAN DO AND DON’T WORRY ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN’T.  TOO MANY MEN GET SOME SOME SORT OF INJURY AND INSTANTLY REVERT TO SAD CLOWNS IN THE FARTSACK INSTEAD OF PUSHING THROUGH.  WE ALL ARE DEALING WITH SOMETHING.

Thank you Breaker Breaker for that example.  Now back to our regularly scheduled backblast.

The PAX took a lap and ended up at the front of the school for a modified Route 66.

YHC selected burpees, CPAP selected squats, Radar selected merkins, Bubba Sparxx selected Big boi’s, and Pillager selected lunges.  The first five rounds were all together and it went like this.

One burpee, one squat, one merkin, one big boi, one lunge each leg, take a lap.  (the laps were oyo in terms of modifying.  you could run around the entire lot of just some of it).

Two burpees, two squats, two merkins, two big boi’s, two lunges each leg, take a lap.

Three burpees………….lap

four burpees……….lap

Go get Breaker and steal his coupons so he would be with us during our exercises.  Someone had put Breaker in a corner, and nobody puts Breaker in a corner.

five burpees……lap

6,7,8,9,10,11  ENDEX

Some rock pushing was going on as several PAX were onto 12 burpees, trying to complete ROUTE 79.

Next, we partnered up for the world’s fastest DORA.

25 merkins, 50 squats, 75 LBC’s  the other partner runs across the front of the school to a sign and back.  About 40 yards total.

Then plank it up for a moment of gratitude where PAX shared what they were thankful for.  Gratitude helps people lower their stress, sleep better, and focus on what they have versus what they don’t have.
The Pledge of Allegiance and then it was time.

MOLESKIN:

There were several PAX YHC had seen in backblasts but not met in person yet so it was great to see new faces and meet new guys.  Everyone pushed the rock today.  Bubba Sparxx made the distinction that F3 isn’t “men only” but “open to all men”.   We are all going through life and we need one another to help provide support.  YHC has been thinking of a new position or team of PAX that would serve as a “congregational care” committee.  PAX who are dealing with serious things and need support could contact this team and have their needs met with extra attention.  Since such a committee doesn’t exist yet, you can contact YHC for anything heavy.  Life happens to all of us.  Let’s be intentional about being there for one another.  AYE!
