NMM:

This is from Tesla’s heart. I got it thinking about the German General surrendering to E Company in Band of Brothers. It really grabs me every time I see it. Because it’s about struggle, brotherhood and love. So it goes like this for me as I said that morning:

Men its been a hard year but it it’s been a good year. We ‘ve all gone through struggles but we’ve been there for each other. You have been here for me and I try to be there for you. When I talk about the 4th quarter it’s all about giving it that last push it takes to finish. That last slalom turn or that last push up the hill on triple nickel is important. Because if you do that you’ll write that last email at work and get something done or make that last call to a customer or even a subordinate – and they’ll remember it. Or you’ll stop at the store for your M or your 2.0s. Or make that phone call to an old friend you’ve been thinking about – or go see him and you’ll find out he needed it- and so did you. But it’s that last act that gets it done. And you have it in you. Its what we’re about out here. And it frankly saved me this year. And we can save a lot of folks by being that example. Let’s do it!

Ricky Bobby kicks off 3rd F month

The Site Q Nutria EH’d YCH to Q the Ricky Bobby using a 3rd F theme.  In the same spirit of Sandlot’s Redwood Q series, YHC thought a history lesson on 3rd F activities in the Gashouse would be appropriate, with some exercise along the way.

Warm up consisted of merkins, squats, ssh, and Appalachian Americans.  Pledge of Allegience

We basically stayed under the canopy at the school doing non stop exercises with an intermittent lap around the track thrown in here.

To get a flavor of the exercises….burpees, squats, merkins, plank jacks, seal jacks, LBC’s Flutter’s, dying cockroaches, 8 Ct. Bodybuilders, planks,

We threw in a lap or two around the track a few times to break up it a bit.  The 3rd F history sharing included:

Bible study before the Gashouse workout at the picnic tables behind the Schiele

Operation Sweet Tooth Christmas for the Boys and Girl’s Club (Bandit Q)

Speed for Need

Several one off devotions at local churches (this will be repeated during 2023)

Tiger leading 3rd F after workouts

3rd F as part of the 1st ever CSAUP at Boss Hogg’s Farm

Adopt a Highway (Freight Q)

Rice and Beans (Virus Q)

YHC talked again about reading the book Freed to Lead and what it means to get “unlocked” as a leader.  Some recent PAX that were mentioned were Flintstone (2023 1FQ and next week Ricky Bobby Q) and Maybelline (Labryinth Site Q)

COT and closed in prayer.

Turtleman and Huck continued prayers

Turtleman Christmas light hanging tomorrow at 1700.  Whoopee Q (see Slack for details)

Always an honor.

Members Only 12/04/22

Good crowd gathered for run/ruck on a beautiful morning only to witness Q fail.  Breaker and I headed out early for a few extra miles, late getting back to the start.  Missed a Member’s Only first timer by a couple of minutes.  Fortunately Buckeye picked up my slack.

Q source topic was Accountability-Team.  Good discussion.

After the pledge, asked for announcements, did not really have any.

Prayer requests: Tesla and his family, Turtleman, Huck, Tiger and family, those who struggle during Christmas season

YHC took us out

Always an honor

Remember Pearl Harbor!

Which has nothing to do with the backblast.

It was warmish, it was misty, it was foggy in places.
We had runners, walkers and ruckers.
No tall people though, we had a sign that stated you must be under this tall to enter.

Thanks for the push Rum Runner!

Prayer requests: Turtleman, Huck, Sister Act’s 2.0, the usual ones, those not mentioned.
Announcements: Hanging decorations at Turtleman’s tomorrow at 5pm-ish. Whoopie to spread details.
Possible something on New Year’s Day.
