No Arms Today

Small crew of three this morning.

I gave blood yesterday afternoon so decided to stay off the arms this morning.

Warm Up – SSH, Moroccan Night Clubs, Imperial Walkers, SSH

Mosey with a couple stops for some Al Gores and Bobby Hurleys

Up West Central Avenue we go: Every other street light: 15 big boys, 15 squats then 16 obliques, 16 lunges x10 lights. Then stop for a round of Bat Wings. 10 more lights: 30 scissors, 15 squats, 30 flutters, 16 lunges

Then we arrived back at the flag to discover a FNG. Looped him in for last five minutes of core and stretching. He will be back next week on time.

2 minutes Q

I decided to modify the EMOM workout to be a E2MOM (Every 2 minutes on the minute).

SSH and Imperial walkers for warm up then short mosey to starting point

5 burpees, 10 squats, 15 any core exercise + Run a lap around building up the stairs or lap around other buildings. Start over every two minutes.

I wanted to complete 20 rounds. I think we ended up with 16 or so. Took a minute break in the middle. The men pushed very hard and impressed with performance.

As the Site Q, I thought I should kick off the year with a nice beat down.

We gathered in the cold gloom. Started with the pledge and then 20 SSH. Mosey around downtown to corner #1 at the fire station.

Corner #1 – 10 Merkins, 10 Squats, 10 Freddie Mercuries, 10 Lunges count 1 leg

Mosey up the hill to the light

Corner #2 – 20 Merkins, 20 Squats, 20 Freddie Mercuries, 20 Lunges count 1 leg

Mosey to the just before the bridge

Corner #3 – 30 Merkins, 30 Squats, 30 Freddie Mercuries, 30 Lunges count 1 leg

Mosey back to town

Corner #4 – 40 Merkins, 40 Squats, 40 Freddie Mercuries, 40 Lunges count 1 leg

Walk back to the fire station

5 burpees for the train

Corner #5 – 5 burpees, 10 Dips, 10 Heels to heaven, 10 Parker Peters count 1 leg

30 step bear crawl then mosey back to the light

Corner #6 – 10 burpees, 20 dips, 20 heels to heaven, 20 Parker Peters count 1 leg

30 step bear crawl then mosey to just before the bridge

Time was running out so mosey to the flag. For 5 burpees and then COT.

Left the Guys with Jeremiah 29:11-14. This was on my heart and felt it was a good passage to take with us into a new year.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[b] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Warm up occurred then a run to the Italian place for a few squats to loosen up those hips and legs. Then to the corner of Central and Main Street where the fun began. Each light pole on the left 5 exercises until a certain point. Then Nur back. We did 4-5 exercises of this fun. It was a lot further Nurring than the Q anticipated.  Then back to Mt. Holly Middle for some abs.

The Goat Site Q’s First Q as Site Q – 11-5-20

Well I do not quite remember everything we did as I used the force to lead me in the Q. We started with a mosey around the downtown. Then we ran up 8th Ave for an exercise at each light pole. Once we got to First Baptist parking lot, we did a triple nickel with some ab work. Then it was off to the Cramerton community center to sit on the wall and reflect on politics and the world. You sit while your partner went up the stairs for a set of burpees, squats, and abs. Did that 3 times…I believe. The next round was feet up on the wall while your partner ran around the building. Did that 3 times…I believe. Then we moseyed back to the church lot to start our lunges at every other light pole on the way back. Wrapped up with some stretching with the time remaining. Pledge, Announcements, Prayer Requests, and COT. Lesson learned to write down your workout after the workout.

2nd Q of the week may have called for a very similar work out. Anyhow, we gathered in a different spot as the ladies have taken over our parking lot.  No FNGs so we moseyed around town for a warm up of 10 burpees, 20 lunges, 10 burpees. Then moseyed to the Pavilion area. Picked a partner. You work and partner runs.

10 durkins, 20 dips, 30 dollys X 3 (Run a half lap around town between sets)

10 irkins, 20 squats, 30 heels to heaven X 3 (Run a half lap around town between sets)

Time was up so back to the start for 1 minute of stretching. Not much mumble chatter during the workout.

Three by Three by Four

We snuck into the Mt. Hollywood parking lot as it was roped off for a potential repave!! Yes you read that right, Mt. Hollywood may go from the worst parking lot to the best. Come out next Monday and see what you are missing. Anyhow, we gathered and no FNGs so we moseyed down to Central Ave for 15 burpees to get warmed up. Then moseyed down to Oakland St for 20 walking lunges. Moseyed back to wall by the Elementary School where the real beatdown began.
