  • How does a Leader know WHAT to do?
    • Answer/Spur:  The organization must make clear the MIssion
  • How does a Leader know HOW to do?
    • Answer/Spur:  The organization and its leaders must teach all they know, putting the LDP to work  (LDP = Leadership Development Process)
      • Schooling
      • Apprenticeship
      • Opportunities
      • Failure (and the learning that comes from them)
  • How does a Group ensure that its Leaders know what and how to do?
    • Answer/Spur:  Incentivize I2 (Individual Initiative) and Manage all the Inevitable Failures.
    • Incentives can be Carrots and/or Sticks, the former rewarding Virtuous behavior and the latter punishing its absence.
The group discussed the concept of Sua Sponte and how it gets put in motion effectively by an organization.

We also discussed:

  • How F3-Gastonia can and might drive an increased level of Sua Sponte across more PAX
  • How F3-Gastonia might increase the # of PAX who receive and internalize the QSource message and leadership development, to further F3’s mission:
    • Mission:  ” to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.”
