Tequila Sunrise – August 11, 2023

A special “Thanks” to GP of Lake Wylie who agreed to cross the bridge and Q for the PAX of Gastonia.

WARM UP:
A quick lap around the parking lot.
SSH x 15 IC
Windmill x 10 IC
Gravel Pickers x 10 IC
Imperial Walkers x 10 IC

The THANG:
Six deck of cards.

Each PAX runs from one side of the court to the other side pulls a card, runs back and performs set exercise.

PAX who didn’t like what card they drew could give it up to other PAX.

With 10 minutes left we did an Ab lab.

For the record, this workout sucks.

Fourteen PAX and one rucker appeared at 0530 at Tequila Sunrise for a Q from the Nantan.  Bubba Sparxx was supposed to have some PAX who will remain anonymous show up to ruck with him, but alas, he was solo.  #hatetoseeit

We did get to see Quiche and Golddigger.  Quiche reported that he recently thought of doing a burpee.  #progress  We also discussed the proper pronunciation of the country “Pakistan”.

Somebody said something smelled good and it was likely YHC compliments of Defib’s favorite laundry detergent, Tyler.  “Diva” in particular.   Virus discussed the merits of washing shirts in Vinegar along with Jane Fonda.  Recently the Art of Manliness had an article about getting the stank out of workout shirt.  HOT temps, light on detergent, and white vinegar is what I remember.  Or you can just use Tyler Diva or if you have a different style, Tyler High Maintenance would work also.  Quiche probably uses that.

Nonetheless, the disclaimer and warm up was given and we started like this.  SSH, Squats, Imperial Walkers, 5 burpees for a train that we happened to hear.

Mosey to Foursquare church for the famous Berp and Merk 1-10.  Some wanted to have the count descend at 8 but Blueprint got the right answer and kept us going up.

Next we moseyed to the cemetery.  Lunge walk, then skip, then mosey and do 30 Big Boys.  Tiger called out the PAX for facing downhill and said they should do 50 big boys so the Q made it happen.  We then moseyed to the low point of the cemetery and ran up the steep hill.  This would be the top of the modified Bombs route.  We partnered up and ran to the bottom.
P1 starts with 50 burpees while P2 runs up the hill and back.  Then 100 squats, then 150 Merkins, then 200 OH claps, and finally 250 Moroccan nightclubs.  Due to time constraints, we Omaha’d back to start while doing some more skips and moseying.  We arrived one minute late (Q-fail).  We finished with the Pledge of Allegiance, announcements, nameorama, and COT.

Prayer requests this morning go out to Norwood on his surgery along with Huckleberry, Turtleman, Radar who lost his cousin, Tiger’s Dad, Termite, Teachers, Marriages, family, and friends.

Watt’s Up gets credit for naming the backblast.  He proclaimed the title on an early trip up the hill during BOMBS, or since it was modified, we called it BSMOM’s.  YHC considers it an honor.  It was nice to see a good crowd this morning and get to partner with Kool Aid and meet Fruity Pebbles.
We also had a good Friday coffeerama at F&B’s where we EH’d the cook.  BOLO for Tony at an AO near you soon.

It is Serena’s birthday today.  The big 23!  He gets to enjoy a nice Italian meal tonight at Momma Ricotta’s and the PAX demanded that Breaker break out his wallet and pay for it!

F3 Tequila Sunrise – July 14, 2023

Anchorman had the Q, but I took it after an emergency he had. Seeing no FNG’s, I gave a brief disclaimer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

We took a mosey toward Elizabeth Street and circled up for the warm up.

WARM UP:

BEATDOWN #1:
We ran up and down Elizabeth Street.

Round 1
Bottom x 10 Carolina Dry Dock
Middle x 10 LBC
Top x 10 Squats
Repeat everything with 15 reps, followed by 20 reps.

*** 10 mountain climbers (2 is 1), 10 peter parkers (2 is 1), and 10 burpees.

Repeat everything with 15 reps, followed by 20 reps.

Tequila Sunrise – July 21, 2023

Well, it was back-to-back Q’s for YHC as I covered for my scheduled Q’s.

Seeing no FNG’s, I gave a brief disclaimer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

BEATDOWN #1
Headed to Four Square church to do 11’s (10 merkins / 1 Jump Squat)

Welcome back Oblivious. He let us catch our breath and told the PAX about himself.

Wall sits to catch our breath. Each pax performed 10 seal jacks.

BEATDOWN #2
Triple Nickel
5 Hand Release Merkins / 5 SSH (repeat 5 times). Run was halfway up Elizabeth Street.

After the triple nickel, we took a mosey toward Assembly Street. There are 10 trees that line the road.

At each tree, a PAX called an ab exercise.

BEATDOWN #3
With a few minutes left we headed to the benches.
10 dips, 10 derkins, 10 incline merkins. Rinse and repeat three times and increase the reps by 5.

F3 Tequila Sunrise – June 16, 2023

I invited Nickelback from Lake Wylie to come be a special “Guest Q”.  He grew up in Belmont and relocated to Lake Wylie recently.

After a quick warm up, which included a circle of burpees performed by each PAX.  Nickelback took us on a mosey around Belmont where he spoke about his childhood life.

First stop – Davis Park Tennis Courts
10 burpees

Second stop – Davis Park Field
10 burpees

Third Stop – Belmont Middle School
10 Monkey Humpers

Fourth Stop – Nichols Grocery
10 burpees

We then proceeded to head back to Belmont Central where we bear crawled and lunge walk between four cones. At each cone we performed an excecise.

We had a few minutes left and circled up for MARY.

Started Workout with B.L.I.M.P.S

  • Burpees X 5
  • Lunges X 10 (each leg)
  • Imperial Walkers X 15
  • Merkins X 20
  • Plank Jacks X 25
  • Squats X 30

Run a lap around the track.

Workout #2

Alternate between Mucho Chesto and Mucho Squato.  This is where you switch between different variations of Merkins, and Squats.

  • Merkins X 10
  • Narrow Squat X 20
  • Werkins X 10
  • Squats X 20
  • Diamond Merkins X 10
  • Sumo Squat X 20
  • Hand Release X 10
  • Jump Squats X 20

Run a lap around the track after each set.

Captain Thor:

An ab exercise done in a 1:4 ratio. 1 Big Boy sit up to 4 American Hammers.

The group Circled up and got into the Al Gore position.  While in the Al Gore position we start marching to the right, while each person took turns going to the center and doing 3 Burpees as though we were doing a tribal rain dance.

YHC did not have the Q today, but as site Q took it for Maybeline who decided to post Downtown.  Seeing no FNG’s, I gave a brief disclaimer followed by  the Pledge of Allegiance.

We took off on a short run and headed to the parking lot church at Four Square for the warm up.

After the warm up we headed to the American Legion building and did our only ALARM

After the ALARM, we headed to the old Belmont Middle School for a BLIMP.

After the BLIMP, we headed to the track behind Belmont Middle School for an Escalator.

After the ESCALATOR, we headed back to COT where we found the benches.

Back at it again, Tequila Sunrise

Back for my second Q this week at Tequila Sunrise.

Warmup: 15x Hillbillies; 15x Gravel Pickers; Stretched – Right leg over Left, Left leg over Right.

Moseyed up the street for some 4-Corner Escalators.

First Corner: 5x Burpees

Second Corner: 5x Burpees; 15x HR Merkins

Third Corner: 5x Burpees; 15x HR Merkins; 20x American Hammers;

Fourth Corner: 5x Burpees; 15x HR Merkins; 20x American Hammers; 30x Bobby Hurleys

Moseyed to the tennis courts for some Q-Sprints (Not sure of the real name)

All the PAX performed the exercise called out by the Q, they do AMRAP until the Q says to go, and the PAX all sprint to the other side of the tennis courts.  Then they all mosey back to the starting point.  Rinse repeat the exercises and sprints 7 times.  The exercises are listed below.

  1. Big Boy Sit-ups
  2. CDDs
  3. X-Factors
  4. Mike Tysons
  5. Flutter Kicks
  6. Groiners
  7. LBCs

Finally, moseyed back to the school and lined up at the benches.  The person at the end of the line did 1 Merkin, and then the second person did 1 Merkin, and so on down the line until the end.  Rinse and repeat, the person at the beginning would do 2 Merkins, and then the next on down the line until the end.  Rinse and repeat for 5 rounds.

Repeat the routine again, but this time do Reverse Crunches.
