Burning Man

While some of us live normal lives, others are travelling the United States living it up. Welcome back Hermie. We couldn’t wait to hear about his experience at Burning Man 2022. But lets get to work first. We split the group and Whoopee takes Clavin and Amazon on a brisk jog to the park. And Stroganoff did a 10k solo marathon. We are going to stay here and bang some coupons to Chevelle.

Set 1: In circuit formation we alternated Burpees, flys, over head press, squat kettle and weighted Moroccan nightclubs. Moseyed around the parking lot. Late to the party comes Tax Break, better late than never👊. Repeat set 1

Set 2: We riffle carried our coupons to the trail. Stopped at the bridge and did single leg glute bridge, assisted pistol squats and side lunges. :Let riffle carry our coupons to the picnic table at the back of the parking lot. There we did laying donkey kicks and step ups. Return to the Eagle circle.

Set 3: In circuit formation we did shadow boxing, curls, merkins, jump ropes, triceps extensions and crunches and more curls. Moseyed around the parking lot. Repeat one more time.

We back with the others and share announcements. We asked Hermie what Burning Man was like. He said it was kinda of like a hippie fest with a focus on art with responsible people, some of which choose to go topless and more. There were about 85K people there. Apparently it is everything you read about.

Good work men!

Fall is here!

It was a perfect morning to get in some work! It only takes two to make it happen. Spiderman and I chose to take advantage of this cool fall-like morning.

It will be short and sweet. Circuit  of exercises R&R and mossy around the parking lot.

We did kicked off with Heels to Heaven, baby makers, flutter kicks, Superman pushups, reverse crunches, starfish crunch, merkins, curls, overhead press, sumo squats and shadow boxing.

We moseyed around the parking lot in between sets.

Finally I get a little respect!

Just another day in the gloom, but this morning is a little different. It is a cool morning with hints of Fall around the corner. One by one until half a dozen guys show up. Oompa Loompa and Stroganoff decide to run their own marathon. The rest stay for Painlab. I already had a circle jerk set up as Stroganoff described, Let’s go play with each other.

We worked a set of exercises, then ran around the lot, came back and did another circle set of exercises. The exercises were:
marching planks, seated big circles, drunken mountain climbers, scissors, starfish crunches, jump rope, American hammers, shadow boxing, plank jacks, squats w/kettle, BURPEES, overhead press, crunches, bear crawl around the group, curls, reverse crunches, merkins til max, and rows. I think everyone got their monies worth.

I guess 50 doesn’t feel that bad.

Announcements:
50 mile relay next week, transverse coming to Bulldog, skating on the 17th, jj 5K on the 24th.

Pray requests:
Huckleberry and Turtleman 👊

Los tres amigos

The weather is perfect this morning. Tiger has the Gashouse, but the crowd is a little light overall, must be that tubing trip.
Tiger starts us off with warmup, then we part ways.
Let’s begin with a ruck down the nature trail riffle carrying our kettles. We stop at the gazebo to get in some core exercises like American hammers, big boy sit ups, and I think some heels to Heaven. We then ruck to the next covered area with the picnic tables. We did more of the same core adding some incline pushups . All of these are 50 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest. Next, we riffle carry our kettles around the trail to the bathroom cabin ( I’m sure there is a fancy name to it). Let’s bear crawl up the ramp and around the corner. Then pick up our kettles and sumo squat for a minute. Return to the trail and ruck back to the parking lot while curling the kettle as we go. Then we do our circuit exercises. 50 sec work/ 10 sec rest.
Set1: squats, imperial walkers, alternating side lunges, Bulgarian squat, monkey humpers, calf raises (alternating)
Set 2: Merkins, CDD’s, Peter Parkers, Heal to Heaven, Superman press, American hammers.
We then did Mary for a few minutes until Bootcampers returned and joined us.
Great work out! Prayer requests were taken and Turtleman continues to be the talk. JJ says he is looking good and is staying positive. We are looking forward to his return 💪.

2.0less

We decided to part ways with the Bootcamp 2.0 party for no other reason than to just use weights. I am sure that they had a fun time, cause we could hear them on the back field at Grier.

Set 1: 50/10 work/rest R&R

crunches, baby makers, heels to heaven, rev. crunches, American hammers, boat hold

Moseyed to the tail, bear crawled up the hill, incline pushups, step-ups, moseyed back to base.

Set 2: 50/10 work/rest R&R

Burpees, curls, o/h press, o/h triceps ext., squat shadow boxing, cdd’s, isolated curls

Moseyed around the parking lot to the benches. Triceps dips, incline pushups, mosey back to base for more work.

Meet back at the circle of trust.

Prayers for those said and unsaid, prayers for those traveling.

Me, Myself and I

I showed, and waited, and nobody showed to know. I worked and I left. With Castle Rock traveling the world on a big boat in Europe, everyone must think it’s a good time to fartsack.

Prayers to all those traveling, dealing with illness, depression or loss of loved ones.

Painlab on Monday?

I roll up at 5:25 and who do I see first?  GSM is on time, then rolls in Whatts Up, then 5:30 hits and all of the other Yahoos roll up. I guess Mondays are tuff for some of these ladies.

We get in some stretching to give these girls some time to get out of their cars. Nutria and I are on IR, so we ain’t running this morning. I send the girls to Martha’s house and instruct them to run around the baseball fields while Nutira and I ruck to the top of the parking lot. We get our work circuit set-up and then the girls arrive.  Throw on some Def Leppard/80’s rock and the crowd goes wild. Our  consists of squats w/kettle, Merkins, crunches, BURPEES, shadow boxing, butterflies, overhead presses, plank jacks, jump rope, reverse crunches, lbc’s, and bear crawl around the circuit.

Work for 50 seconds, take 10 seconds to transition to the next exercise. Once everyone completes the full circuit, then run to the bottom of the parking lot and back. Take a 1 minute rest and get back to the circuit. We were able to complete (2) circuits and (2) runs before time was up. Meet back at Pelicans and we have time for some Mary.

Announcements: Convergence this Saturday @ Folsom, F3 Dad’s on the 23rd, Tubing the week after, 2nd F lunch is the 3rd Thrusday of the month but not this month? I think there is some confusion?

Prayer request: Those traveling, Cinderella’s return, those with Covid, Austin’s Doreset’s passing, Brother-in-law Dillon’s family, Simpson family cancer, Turtleman

Good work men! Thank God for waking up this morning.

Circuit Day

Its a gorgeous humid morning, man I miss those brisk mornings. Whoopee is here for the Gloom! Good work on the recovery 💪

Bedpan has returned to Gashouse to bring the sweat and pain for bootcamp. Bedpan gave us the warm up then we split up.

I had a circuit set-up in the back corner of the lot where we  brought additional toys and loud music

The circuit included:

reverse crunches, curls, crunches, merkins, overhead press, bear crawl (around the circuit), plank jacks, shadow boxing, butterflies, squat w/kettle, BURPEES, and jump rope. 50 seconds of work / 10 seconds to transition to the next. After each completion of a full circuit, we fellowship moseyed around the parking lot.  At least that’s what Voodoo calls it, sounds good to me. R&R

We gather back to the start and get a little Mary in as the Gashouse returns to base.

Prayer requests were made for Turtleman, Huckleberry and two others. Forgive me, I forgot. I need to put these in my phone at the time.

Whoopee had a good first day back from IR and did not hurt his tummy. Good work men!
