Short Crew at Member’s Only!

A little pre Thanksgiving ruck and run at Member’s only this morning 11/20. Welcome back “The All” and FNG Mainframe, so named for his long time IT career that started inn the days of the old mainframe. How soon we forget!

Ruck had The Wall, Mainframe, Breaker-Breaker, The Wall, and Tesla. Bubba Sparxx and Gavel ran.

Great session on Team Building at Qsource. pretty important stuff. Weall jumped in and added our comments and questions. Just as it should be!

So Tesla took the reigns at The Ricky Bobby this morning and buttermilk was served in abundance! Went like this:

COP

Get to the middle of the field for escalator 4 corners

1st corner – 10 diamond merkins

Welp, it is that time of year again! Time to drop the humidity and temps AND get back in the gloom. Went like this:

COP:

Mosey over the field for Blimps as follows:

Half way – 10 reps

End  – 15 reps

Mosey back

Do it all as a team

Burpees, Lunges, IWs, Merkins, Plank Jacks, Squats.

Over to the benches for some work:

Step ups, Dips, inverted big boys, dirkins 10X

Parking lot suicides 1st round

Burpee Broad jumps 2nd round

Mosey back to the field for a Tesla special: Bear crawl slalom! Everyone gets 3 runs.

Tesla Returns to The Yank!

Been awhile but YHC finally got a Q at The Fighting Yank! We took it on with vigor as we shall see below:

COP:

Time for some 3 Corners, have not done this one in a while.

First Corner, up at the gated property:

Trumpers, LBCs, Jump squats. Repeat 10, 15, 20

Second Corner

Merkins, Jump Squats, American Hammers. Repeat 10, 15, 20

Third Corner (Corner of Knowledge)

Dips, Stepups, Dirkins, Repeat 10, 15, 20

Line up for some of the next set:

Burpee Broad Jump, 1/2 way across the front.

Lunge walk rest of the way.

SSH X 20

Squats X 20

Run back to benches.

Time to go to the Field of Dreams and do some BEAR CRAWL SLALOM!

Redo at Ricky Bobby

Last week when YHC showed up to lead here we had a total no show event. So YHC bagged it. Not feeling it then. needed a rest. But not today! Whoever was on deck never showed so YHC took the bull by the horns and ad libbed it pretty well as follows:

Go to the middle of the field for COP:

SSH X 20

IW X 20

Grass pickers X 20

Tesla Stretches

Mtn. Climbers X 20

Blimp time!

Burpees X 5

Lunges X 10 (each leg)

IWs X 15 (in cadence)

Merkins X 20

Plank Jacks X 25

Squats X 30

After each roll we run to the center of the field and do “chop-chop” with a grass drill one way, go the end and do the next exercise and then run back to the middle for SSH with called grass drill. Then after we get to the squats we reverse and go back down the Blimp ladder.

Over to the benches for some work:

10 step ups (each leg)

10 dips

10 inclined big boys with a twist

10 dirkins.

3X

1st – Bear crawl to the center, broad jump to the other side, mosey back

2nd – Bear crawl to the center, crab walk to the other side, mosey back

3rd – Lunge walk over, mosey back.

Rugby sprints across the field, 2X

Mosey over to COT and hold plank for @ 2minutes and we’re done and a pledge!

Short crew but a good crew. Quality always beats quantity. Humid morning at the Bobby, welcome to summer time!

Lots of things going on out there guys. Fourth turning. Listen to Neil Howe. We’re on a tough spot as a world right now. And it’s getting to people. But guess what men? This is where we STEP UP! Get out and lead something. A workout is a start! How about a site Q? Anyone getting on any local boards or things like that? Church leadership? I have news men, the world is taking applications now for strong guys to lead! You are needed. Trust me. get out there and make it happen. Cause no one else will.

So with the CSAUP the next day we had a short crew for a Tesla led beat down at Tequila that went like this:

Over to the field for some work . What we will do is start out with 5X, go to the middle and do 10X, end and do 15X and return.

1 st set: Merkins

2nd set: Big boy situps.

3rd set: CDDS

4th set: Jump Squats.

Mosey over to the playground for some work. 3 sets, all 10X rotation

Pull ups

Hand release merkins

LBCs

Run a set of suicides in the upper lot.

Over to the benches for some work. 3 rounds. 10X apiece, run suicides after each set.

Step ups

Dirkins

Inclined sit ups.

Mosey over to the flag for COT and pledge.

NMM: Light but engaged crew. Fun to be around and worked hard. BTW, Q did the CSAUP too!

 

 

 

Back in the saddle on a sunrise!

First, sorry for the late back blast! My bad men. But it was still a great workout. Went like this:

Move on over to the track for a six shooter.

60 SSH – lap (Watt’s Up wondered why we did cardio after cardio. Told him Herb Brooks did it that way. He didn’t know who Herb was. You all should.)

Tesla returns to the Fighting Yank!

Been awhile since YHC led at the Yank so this was going to be a good one! Had a little bit of a short crew due to the Community run but no prob! Went like this:

COP:

SSH burpees X 5

Roscoe takes the Bunker guys, YHC takes the bootcampers

Time fro some half pipes X 2

Top: Plank jacks X 5

Shelter at bottom: 1 burpee

P1 runs the filed and does 5X of the work. Returns and does the work while P2 runs. We do this together meaning we wait for the 6 in plank on each round before we go again.

Run to the other end for 5 burpees.

Run back by the road, rinse and repeat above, same number.

Return to the field for our favorite thing – Bear crawl Slalom! Why wouldn’t we!

3rd goal: BH X 10

4th goal: SSH X 20

Still time for a half pipe! So we did one and went to COT at the Yank.

Small but dedicated crew today. We left it all out there. The way it ought to be! Lots of good work got done.

A few good men at the Bobby

YHC was a little concerned when he rode hot into the Ricky Bobby parking lot and found only a few players, as in just the three of us plus Bouquet coming in hot out of the gloom. What it lacked in numbers it made up for in capability and commitment as the story tells here:

COP:

Note to all: YHC usually likes to get on the field here at the Bobby. But, YHC is also a seasoned vet and a pro at this! So we kept to the parking lots due to the inundating rains we had the previous night.

Great work on a great morning! Everyone put it out there. Fun, small group. Competitive! Love that in a quality group. Wish we could have had more players but small circle of friends.

Our wold has changed in macro and micro ways guys. And more to come! Chaos and disorder are the norm. but, they always have been. Our present generations have not experienced it in essentially a century. Quantum physics rules. Newtonian physics is an illusion. Pray hard and prepare guys!
