12 pax gathered at Old School on a windy Saturday morning. Between serenades of “Happy Birthday” to Blart, lead by Sargento, and lots of conversation, we actually got in some work. It was great to see Tricycle (and to partner up with him) and Sargento, on this side of town! Thanks to Wik for pushing me; to Freight for picking up the six and always keeping it interesting; to Gumby for always being supportive; to Chili for coming out despite not feeling the best (and after playing a great game of frisbee on my team at Midoriyama on Thursday); to Leppard for reminding me not to set my standards too high..lol..to Blart, for taking the attention paid to him, like a trooper (at least outwardly:); to Slaw, who bravely endured what he called “the longest hour of his life”; to Wirenut for keeping the conversation moving; and to Medicine Woman for coming out for what he thought would be a Mayor Q. Broke and Flintstone joined us after a long run. It was great to see an unkempt SA (Leppard’s words) on the road to recovery, join us at the end and for breakfast, where the camaraderie..and birthday tributes..continued. Good grief!

Word:
Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
“In Scripture, separation is not isolation, for if believers are isolated, how can they be the salt of the earth and light of the world and influence others for the Lord? Believers can be separated from sin and to the Lord and still be involved in the normal challenges and activities of human life. Jesus had contact with the real world and its people, but he wasn’t contaminated from that contact. True biblical separation is contact without contamination. When you’re different, you attract people and have opportunities to share the good news of Christ.” Warren Weirsbe
