Rainy Days & Mondays always gets me down – Redux

Not really, how bad can a dreary Monday morning be when as I was driving out of my neighborhood, the “Handsomest Cardiologist on Union Road at 0500 in the morning” (wins only by default-Defib is out of town) and Maybelline are running down Union towards Hudson for extra credit. Brief horn honk and wave.

Dagger downrange from the Mutha-Ship with Ghost Flag 2.0. Great testimony, great ministry Charlotte Rescue Mission-Check it out. Program for addiction recovery.

Some ran, some rucked, all had a good time.

We had a sighting of the Gordon Fisherman model. Looks a wee bit chubby in person. Lots of photo shopping in the advertisements.

Mini-sermonette: “Has no one condemned you…..Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go and sin no more.” John 8:7-11.

Guys, there are two types of people: bridge builders or bridge burners. Believers need to be the bridge to get people to Jesus. We shouldn’t be the burners. We can’t say “I can’t believe so and so has the unmitigated all to walk into my church with what they have done.” When we say that, it demonstrates that we have forgotten who we used to be when where the sinner who didn’t know Jesus either.

Announcements: Winter Nationals at Convergence, Defib at Gashouse this Saturday, Extinction Run

Prayers: Pappy, Seuss, Trace Barnette, Huck, Wirenut, Dagger’s ministry, those with addiction, recovery struggles, each other. Forgiveness for judgment and not remembering that Jesus died for all. YHC took us out.

Painlab 1/28/23

We had a good turnout and welcomed back two Kotters. The seven of us circled up and each had our own exercise to start. Work for 45 seconds and rotate counter clockwise to the next exercise. Once we completed the circuit, then we moseyed around the parking lot. Rinse & Repeat.  On the third circuit, we changed up the exercise and R&R. On the fifth circuit, we changed it up again and R&R. The exercises were baby makers, Fly’s, reverse crunches, overhead press, heels to Heaven, squats w/kettle, starfish crunches, flutter kicks, curls with curl bar, peter parkers, BURPEES, Superman pullups,  marching planks, crunches, chest press with curl bar, and six minutes with Marry. It was a good workout and lots of mumble chatter. It was great to see those Kotters back and hope that we see them again soon!

Good work!

ego

We ran or rucked then discussed chapter 4 of Extreme Ownership-Ego. Great discussion. Takeaway point for me is this: Often the worst ego that you will ever have to deal with is your own. Glad I have some HIMs around to remind me of this.

Whoopee

Crossroads 1/29/23

We had a large crowd at Crossroads. Great weather,  great camaraderie and arguably the best Q-source (so far this year) were experienced this last day of January. Runners ran, ruckers rucked as everyone got a little better and a little faster. Q-Source topic was Contentment. Great discussion on happiness vs. joy, controlling your emotions, and durability. Thank you guys for kindly stopping in!
