At this time YHC took some time to talk about some scriptures that speak to me about being a man (strong and courageous) no matter what our culture says ….and to be Impactful within our own dominions for the greater cause of His Kingdom …that being strong is not just a physical command but more importantly in our Faith and emotional lives and relationships with our God, M’s, 2.0’s, extended family, coworkers and our communities.

C –Sit position single leg  right then left  20 each ( in C-sit position hold leg off ground 6 inches then bring knee in extend leg back out and raise as high as you can = 1 rep)

Both legs together – 10 x2……Sparky said something about his gold finger with these….

We ended the workout with a nice mose.cy to get the hip flexors feeling really good…circle up at the Flag and say the Pledge!

Christmas Evel

With ToolTime and Brownstreak Qing together who knows what will happen but here is what I recall. The morning started with a lot of mumble chatter. Why are we here on Christmas Eve? Who’s Qing?, who has the nicest hair? Etc. Sargento and Freight must have the same barber. As time drew near pax kept rolling in. A Kotter came back or at least one I haven’t seen in a while “spring break!” Time to start yankers so we moseyed to the boat? Tank? Car? Truck? Whatever the hell we called it. It got called everything. We moseyed there….. and here is when the evilness started.

After this monster of a warm up we didn’t mosey but jumped up on the boat?…… anyway some or maybe one of us did a really cool roll up instead of a jump up (mayor got skills) it was here that the second part of our evil plan would unfold. Core time with  Tool Time… Mayor and Dolph was playing and mumble chattering about the warm up and blah blah blah…. y’all know them two. All that stopped real quick… bahahaha!!!

After that awful and I mean awful evil workout I wasn’t sure which way was up, but we can’t stop til a body drops so we moseyed….. up to the track/ pull up bars. Here is where Brownstreak took the reins of this two mad dog sled and introduced Cindy…. Cindy is a crazy work out that crossfitters and seal teamers do and now F3ers. We modified to accommodate the area and stay within reach of all pax abilities (mine included). Here is what Cindy is….modified of course.

5 rounds – alternating pull-up grips each round ( regular, reverse, close grip, right/left hand different, left/right hand different)

Cindy= (5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 air squats) Run a lap between each set.

 

Tool Time being the beast he is along with Dolph and Freight lead a flutter kick extravaganza ( about 55 IC)til all pax finished with Cindy. With just a lil time to spare Tool Time ran us home around and back to the flag.

Brownstreak / Tool Time

We Ran

2 PAX braved the weather at the Pub this morning…..we ran through a tornado that we caused as we ran at a blistering avg pace of 2.30 min miles for 18 miles in 45 mins! YHC wanted to slow down a bit but as #ISI Monk kept pushing that rock and ME to this impressive end goal ! …..Now that I have your attention…..read below for the rest of the story!

Average Pace – 9.05 Ave Pace

Thank you Monk for not making this a solo run and for your words of wisdom during the run and after at Coffeteria ! YHC always enjoys time spent with a wise brother !

Who and where is Dolph???

12 PAX showed up to get some BRR training in at Derecho on this fine holiday. (well 11 for sure…. this Dolph guy is questionable nobody saw him at warm-up or COT? )… YHC changed the time today to allow us a little more shuteye however one PAX who needed a little more possibly showed up  …so the rest of us PAX did Moroccan Night Clubs until Dolph showed up….I lost count at 3,000…..and then we greeted him with our best side while doing Monkey Humpers!

The Thang:

Miles- 5.25 miles +/- ….we were spread out and all took a slightly different route

Average Pace – 8.37 Ave Pace – again slightly different for each runner

5 PAX showed up to get some BRR training in at Derecho. YHC volunteered to Q …however as the title suggests I needed help with the route thank you Monk and Defib…. Tri -Q?????

Moroccan Night Clubs- 100 IC ( was supposed to be 30) but  Def Leppard rolled in late so YHC kept these going until he joined us! This definitely stirred up the mumble chatter!

High Plank/Low Plank Pulse tucks- 8H/8L x4( some of the PAX couldn’t get past the fact that it may look similar to a movement one might do with the M! Definitely stirred up mumble chatter and lots of laughing although Freight said my form was impeccable.)

At this point Ash Pond decided to roll in (30 mins into this torture) …so YHC decided ….More torture!

At this point we were about 35 mins into the workout and hadn’t left where .so started…why leave now!

YHC spoke about the importance of challenging yourself physically with f3 and through that you will become stronger both emotionally and spiritually! T-square spoke about the upcoming birthday (next Saturday) of his daughter that has gone home to heaven recently ….and about how this is the first time in a trail of life that he has physically felt the prayers of others helping him through this difficult time #morethanjustaworkout….f3 matters men.

About a week ago Huckleberry shot me a message which said “you need to bring Core Time to Folsom” ……who was I to deny this request!

 

Warm-up:

SSH- 25 IC

Moroccan Night Clubs- 30 IC ( for Dolph)

Squats- 25 IC

Merkins – 15 IC

The Thang:

We moseyed to the Tennis courts ( about 30 yards) so that those of us with soft six’s wouldn’t ruin them ….then it happened Core time by Tool time….the PAX were really grateful that we weren’t training for the BRR ….however that ended shortly and they were asking for a mosey…denied!

In and Outs with arms up -25

After that the PAX moseyed to the playground for some pull-up and Merkin action… and on to the rest of the Challenge…

Chin-ups 5 then Military Merkins (elbows in) -20 – X’s 2

After this the PAX moseyed from the Playground to the Folsom mini hill…..(Hamburger Hills distant relative)

Sprint up the hill at top 5 Burpees x 3

Sprint down the hill 20 CDD’s x 3

We did this together….well except Dolph….he got a little excited one time and ran off on his own….Huckleberry was quick to point that out to him !

Mosey back to the Flag and circle up – thanks to Pizza Man and Dolph for rounding up the six…

We certainly didn’t have enough core time!

50 Flutter kicks IC (this hurt)

Dolph called 5 Burpees OYO

Huckleberry called 25 LBC

Then finished with 30’s of plank!
