3 men @ Coconut Horse saw an opportunity to post in the snow and couldn’t pass it up. Kudos to Defib and Roscoe for a massive 10 mile run. YHC pulled up and saw two sets of tracks on the sidewalk in front of the Teeter and knew that there were guys out there gettin after it. YHC got 45 minutes of solo rucking in.
QSource was cancelled for the week.

“No bad weather. Just poor equipment.”
Defib’s post on Slack is just good stuff. Weather just adds excitement to the workout. Y’all know around here it’s not everyday we get to make tracks in the snow. Gotta take the opportunities when they come.
It was a good day to ruck all by myself. With the route I picked, I wasn’t near any main roads for any length of time, so it really felt like I was all alone in the world. No signs of any other tracks, and every step I took was recorded in the snow, like I owned it all. The sun wasn’t up, but the heavy snow both falling and on the ground created an eerie glow. It was just a morning to soak in and remember, as new and unique feelings can be hard to come by when all my days have a tendency to feel the same.
At the same time, I wouldn’t want to stay by myself. I say it often, but the biggest realization I’ve had as an F3 Gastonia PAX is that I need to get out of my own head and be part of the group, because there’s so much to learn and share being around the rest of you. And really, over the last year+, I’ve found that the less time I spend alone in my own head, the better off I am. Your support and your example have made things that were impossible on my own seem relatively effortless and natural.
So sure, it was good to get out and make my own tracks today, but I don’t plan on getting used to it. Grateful to be part of this group.
