Sleeping with LN’s Wife

A small but dedicated group of HIM’s gathered at Bulldog on a cool rainy morning for YHC’s VQ at this AO.  Just prior to 0530, Les Nessman extended a customary professional courtesy as he has done no doubt hundreds of times over the years to friends and acquaintances – he suggested that Orangeman go to sleep with his wife.  She wouldn’t be doing any sleeping, of course, that’s apparently what happens at the sleep lab where she works.  There was no discussion of price or other terms for this arrangement (is it cash only?), but further mumblechatter ranged from the price of a c-pap machine to the cost of telling your M that her rear end could use a little firming up. 

Anyway, on to the business at hand, beginning with a warmup of Imperial Walkers (10xIC) and Moroccan nightclubs (15xIC).  Next, The Thang, 4 rounds of Tabata exercises (20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest, cycle through 4 exercises then repeat):

Round 1 = KB swings, Halos (R/L), and Merkin pull-throughs

Round 2 = Big Boys, Side Planks (R/L), and Leg Lifts

Round 3 = KB pullovers, Upright Rows, Tricep extensions, Curls

Round 4 = KB Squats, KB One-leg Deadlifts (R/L), and KB Flutter Kicks (holding coupon overhead)

After the 4 Tabata rounds, lunge-walk to the edge of the breezeway and bear crawl back.  10-count, then rinse and repeat until time ran out at in the middle of Round 4.

Despite preparation with a Tabata timer and Pandora music channel, technical difficulties arose when Tabata time cues didn’t play through the speaker, so YHC watched the times and called out transitions.  Not ideal, especially when distracted by the mumblechatter referenced above, but it worked out somehow.

Stupid stuff at Booger Mountain

Driving to the Sandlot, YHC passed EZ Rider, Dirt, and Watts Up on Neal Hawkins Road, finishing up some EC they later described as “stupid.”  If Monday morning EC was so stupid, the rest of the week can only get better, right?  Well, let’s see, maybe there’s even more stupid yet to come…

0530:  Warm up with SSH, Imperial Walkers (each 15xIC), 5 burpees OYO, then a quick count off for the 7 HIM’s.  Mosey down the street to the little office entrance for a mini-Dora. Partner 1 alternates between 100 flutter kicks (each leg) followed by 100 shoulder taps (count both) while partner 2 runs to the picnic tables and does 25 reps of an exercise:
Round 1 = Derkins
Round 2 = Step-ups (25 each leg)
Round 3 = Dips

After a brief 10-count, mosey on to Gastone’s hill (which, according to Captain Stubing, used to be called Booger Mountain – True? Don’t know, but why let the truth get in the way of a good story?).

No matter what it’s called, Jailbreak up through the neighborhood to the cross street for 10 hand-release merkins and hold plank for the six.  (YHC was the first up the hill to the cross street, but that sprint was still pretty stupid.)  Lunge-walk the rest of the way up to the cul de sac for 15 hand-release merkins and hold plank for the six.  Mosey back to bottom of hill, pausing for 10 more hand-release merkins at the cross street.

For the second trip up Booger Mountain, pause for 10 reverse crunches at every streetlight (including 2 in the cul de sac at the end), and 10 hand-release merkins at the cross street.  That was enough stupid for Monday morning, so mosey back to the flag just in time for pledge and COT.

Another warm humid morning to start off the week.  Not ideal, but for the men who showed up, it is better than staying in the fartsack!

No FNGs so quick disclaimer and time to get started.

Warm Up

The Thang

Mosey to the wall in front of Ida Rankin.  10 reps of dips, step ups and derkins.  Repeato 15 reps.  Repeato 20 reps.

Mosey to the back of BB&T to the big white wall for some 11s.  Exercises were dirty hookups and squats.  Good form was encouraged.

Mosey to parking lot in the gloom between Oakland St and the farmers’ market.  There were eight exercises listed in some parking spots.  While one PAX would run around the block the others would do the exercise listed in their spot.  We managed to get through all the exercises:

Mosey back to the school with just a minute or so left so we planked for a quick stretch.  At this point I called out, “Right arm to right leg!”  ???  Modify as necessary!

Florida Man’s Weinke and Volts Belly Button Ring

Typically our friend from Florida comes out like Santa bringing gifts of randomness and off the wall Q’s. Well he must have gotton pretty Hammered at the Ole Rusty Rabbit in Dallas and left his Weinke and music at my house. I subbed earlier this week so why not one more.

While waiting on 630 we get talking about everything as usual and I hear something about Volt has a belly Button Ring. Come again.. Nothing much was said at that point and it was time to get Werkin.

Warm Up: SSH, MTN Climbers, Nolan Ryans, and Monkey Humpers.
Typical Fl. Man He left a camo fanny pack with a deck of death cards weinke and a skull Ring. I ask Volt if he wanted to wear the ring and he let me know he already had a ring.

The thang:

Total Recall: probably normal in Florida we call this a triple Nickel, Fl Man wrote down Triple Nipple. MErkins.

Tennis Courts for some gator chasin.
How do you run from a gator? Zig Zag of course. pax sprints to minnow bucket then pax#2 begins the chase. But Pax one must zig zag until the end. Loser does 5 burpees.

Florida Mans Luggage.
One large box of Random heaviness will be carried by two pax to the end of the court and back. Remainder of pax do exercise
from deck of death pack located in camo fanny pack until pax returns. after each group goes we all take a lap.
We did this several times.
