Crossroads – He Didn’t Ask…

13 PAXs gathered for yet another wet run at Crossroads.  Sister Act returned for his inaugural “post-knee surgery” PT run… wait a minute, he didn’t ask his doctor if it was ok to start PT!  Oh well!

After the run we gathered for announcements, pledge, and the COT.  Big Pappy prayed us out.

Announcement:  Convergence at Folsom Saturday (1/9/21) @ 07:00.  Please fill the parking lot near the tennis courts 1st then overflow to the lower lot.  We will gather at the bottom of the lower lot for the workout.

Prayer requests:  Sheldon Christy (YHC’s neighbor) for speedy recovery from snow skiing accident / Gold Digger & family for a safe and healthy delivery / those with Covid  & vaccine success / YHC starting his new job

12/27 Crossroads

12 PAX posted at Crossroads to do some work.  The “Original Route” was ran, thanks to Freight.  Good work by all!!

During QSource we discussed how 2020 impacted different families in different ways.  Also, YHC mentioned to everyone to set some type of goals for 2021 and asked the question, “What is your 2021 word?”.  Great discussion for all and looking forward to starting F3 Gastonia’s 3rd year of QSource.

It’s always an honor to lead and until next time….Pizza Man is OOUUUUTTTT!!

Announcements:

1/1 – 10 miler for the F3 10year Convergence at Coconut Horse (Finish time 8am so whatever time you need to start). Run, Ruck, Bike, Walk, or Drive…just do something

1/9 – Convergence at Folsom @ 7am (2021 Leadership roles will be announced)

Another Soaker for Crossroads

Once again instead of bringing the pain I brought the RAIN!  It was a chilly and wet run for the guys at Crossroads this morning but fun none the less.  Seuss donned his usual running in the rain before daybreak attire (mostly black & non-reflective) and set off w/ Round Up.  PM & GD hit the streets around Dallas and most of the rest of us completed an out-n-back in the GTP.  We returned to the parking lot for announcements/pledge/COT and YHC trying to use my phone in the rain!  We moved inside for Q-source where YHC shared 12 lessons of leadership from the birth and life of Jesus.

Announcements:

  • Christmas Day Bootcamp @ Downtown Tesla to Q (details forthcoming)
  • New Years (1/1/21) 10 mile run/ruck/walk @ Harris Teeter on Robinwood Road (Coconut Horse Route).  Start times based on what you plan to do.  Stay tuned to Slack, etc. as guys will likely start posting what/when their plans are if you want to group up.
  • Convergence on January 9, 2021 @ 07:00 @ Folsom

Prayer Requests:

  • Pizza Man’s coworker’s father (hospice has been called in) pray for comfort
  • Those that have suffered loss during the holidays and are struggling with depression (Mayor’s church having a “Blue” service recently for these very folks)
  • SA’s Mom and others dealing with Covid

Blart…..

Blart’s Terrible Route

15 at Crossroads on Sunday morning. Most of which stayed for Q Source!

YHC asked Blart to provide us a route of his choosing. He responded with a bit of attitude and sarcasm. I was a little proud and responded with my own. He picked a route and off we went. I soon realized why he responded the way he did. Blart has become a bat flipper, clicking off the miles at a fast pace! Also noticed was the hilly route he chose. One that only a bat flipper would pick. Speaking of batflippers Sister Act was in usual form. He tried really hard to beat me this morning but just didn’t quite get it done(see Strava for details). He’s a pretty competitive guy but for some reason he really doesn’t like for me to finish anything ahead of him. Oh well!

COT:

The usual stuff. We did do the pledge this week since we had a flag. It was mentioned that it seems to be a regular occurrence since Haze has taken over for Sister Act.

Fantastic Fall Morning and “Failure” at Crossroads

6 runners today at Crossroads. Beautiful morning, great temperatures and no rain!

You guys motivate me in various ways, for which I am thankful!

Q Source on “Failure” today. It takes failure, and lots of it, to refine a leader.  We have all failed, at some point, as leaders. But let’s use that as a learning experience and grow from it.

Great work by the Ville-to-Ville team! Keep up the running!

Huck joined us for Q Source.

Nice work today, men!

Seuss
