6 pack abs by next summer! @ PainLab

Spring is here baby! I feel sorry for all those that fartsacked. You missed out on a great morning to get it in.

We take a hike down to the trail while riffle carrying our coupons. We circled up to do a few squats along the way to the back picnic tables to get some core work in. The crickets, birds and just nature itself was an incredible backdrop to our morning. I didn’t play music for just that reason. Since I was using a clock, we did manage to have some mumblechatter in between the work.

Feeling Grateful at The Goat

I’ve never been to the Goat before, so I thought a Birthday Q would be an appropriate introduction. We started warm-ups to the smell of mouth watering freshly cooked bacon. That was torture!

Let’s mosey across the bridge over chocolate milk to the playground. We circle up around the diamond with a dozen or more Hims. You won’t get a bunch of running from me, so we’re just gonna do what I like and that’s more core 😁.

Set1: 50 seconds of work/ 10 seconds to transition.

LBC’s, Rev-LBC’s, starcrunch, flutters, baby makers, superman pullups. Recover. Mosey around the playground. Rinse & Repeat.

Friends don’t let friends skip leg day

The crowd looks a little light this morning for PainLab. Word must have gotten out that we were doing legs. But a few good Hims showed up to accept what I was serving for breakfast. Defib starts by saying his back hurt, but that’s not going to affect him dishing out an ars whoopin! They sprint off after doing just 10 Side straddle hops. Get you some Bootcamp!

I tell the girls that I hurt my shoulder at the gym, so there will be no need for a coupon. Let’s meet in the circle and get started. I start the Bose off with some Van Halen as we circle around. We start a warm up with a few exercises as I let them know that it is leg day 🦵.

Set 1: 45/15 Frog squats, Romainian deadlift, baby makers, wall sits, Bulgarian split squats, Sumo walks forward/backwards, switching lunges. Rinse & repeat

Set 2: 45/15 squat side leg raise, wall sits, assisted pistol squats, back/forth lunges, kickbacks, elevated side squats, courtesy lunge. Rinse & repeat

Set 3: 45/15 butt kicks, crab walks sideways, all sits, lbc’s, star crunches, rev-lbc’s, Superman pullups. Rinse & repeat

Good work sheep! We had some good mumblechatter and some complaining, but most of all we were glad to be able to get up, meet up and sharpen up our skills. Thank you God!

Prayers were mentioned and recorded by Defib, but I just wnated to say a prayer for an old high school buddy that lost his life this past Wednesday on a motorcycle accident. RIP Rusty Barker. Prayers go out to those two teenage daughters that just lost their father.  I pray that it is in God’s plan that I am here for my little girl until she no longer needs me 🙏

Diablo Sammich voted best AO for mumblechatter 💪

We Rucked and mumblechattered. We talked about the likely hood of getting in to a tiny fiberglass submersible, we talked about appreciating the freedom to listen to live music, and we talked about  getting out of town and gathering with a large group of family for fellowship. Good stuff, good work men!

I could do Big Boys all day

I’ld just like to thank everyone that takes these AO’s seriously by showing up on time, every time.  It shows that you respect the site Q for that  day. But if you’re Maybeline, then we will cut you a break because you’ve been a Juggernaut this year. We might give you a hard time and bust your (@), but you truly have shown grit by stepping up all the time to take an open Q. Good work!

I’d like to welcome Hot Dog to PL for the first time.  Welcome!

We start with a strong warm up led by Breaker Breaker. He did all of the warm ups exercises that I had planned to do👏

With that said, let’s get to work.

Set 1:  50 seconds of work, 10 seconds to transition to the next.

LBC’s, flutters, LBC’s, flutters, American hammers, big boys, American hammers, big boys. 1 min rest, Rinse & Repeat

Lets Mosey over to the orange looper cones at the corner of the parking lot. These just showed up today, never seen them before. These cones were spread out probably about 30-35 feet in a straight line with a rope across the top. Let’s bear crawl from one side to the other, then come back and duck under the rope back in forth in a diagonal pattern while shadow boxing. Once completed, let’s nur back to our spot. Is that how you spell it?

Set 2:  50 seconds of work, 10 seconds to transition to the next.

rev-LBC’s, heals to Heaven, rev-LBC’s, heals to Heaven, Freddy Mercury,  star crunches, Freddy Mercury, star crunches. 1 min rest, Rinse & Repeat

Lets Mosey around the parkin lot and come back for one more set.

Set 3:  50 seconds of work, 10 seconds to transition to the next.

squat curl press, lawnmower rows, squat curl press, lawnmower rows, merkins, plank jacks, merkins, plank jacks. 1 min rest, Rinse & Repeat

I love that these guys can’t get enough Core’n More at PainLab. It makes me feel good to hear them talk about how much they love doing LBC’s or Flutters or American hammers, etc. But what really caught me by surprise was when VooDoo said ” I could do Big Boys all day!”, he prefers Big Boys. Now, I’m sure he meant his choice of core exercises, but it was just the way he said it that made us all question…how he said it. You gotta Show to know!

They loved my workout so much that I got 3 Hims to Q for the month of July. Gotta love teamwork 👊 Good work men

Breaker Breaker led us out with prayers requests 🙏

Ain’t nobody got 6-pack abs in this group

Today was a good day! We had a good turnout considering we were up against Dad’s bootcamp.

We mosey to the picnic tables where we begin our work. Just as we start our step-ups, a white pickup truck rolls in. As everyone is guessing who it may be, that’s when I realize it might be my FNG. Yes, it is my old work buddy from the WideScreen TV days, Todd Woodard. I’ve been EH’n him for a while now and he finally made the drive from Charlotte 🙌. After a few bro hugs, we get back to work. Here’s how it went. Using a picnic table, we complete these 5 exercises for 50 seconds each , then transition to the next:

  1. step-ups, incline merkins, goblet squats, triceps dips, knee ups in a seated position. Rinse and repeat x3  – then relocate to the parking lot
  2. with kettle – clean and press, renegade rows, American hammers, rev- lunge press, deadlift. Rinse and repeat x3
  3. over head press, figure 8. Rinse and repeat x3, then added some Mary to finish the round.

Good work men! Way to push. Someone mentioned that these ab exercises were easy for me ’cause I have abs. Not true, I wish, but I plan to look better for my August family beach trip💪

Welcome Todd Woodard aka Pacino. Looking forward to getting you locked in with this fine group of Hims to help you grow and become a better version of you!

Core’n More @ The Labyrinth

I think the bootcampers heard I was coming so they ran somewhere, just not here. That’s right, no running at my camp. We start with a a warm up with Don Quixote’s, Squats and Gravel pickers.

Let’s mosey to the gazebo, runners head to the grounds keeper’s edge of the park and meet us there. Timing was perfect.

Round 1&2: 50 sec’s of work, 10 sec’s to transition. LBC’s, R-LBC’s, Star Crunches, Flutters, Baby Makers (Time Frame said we were doing it wrong?), Jack Knifes, Superman Pullups. Ruck/Run the lot and R&R

Round 3&4: 50 sec’s of work, 10 sec’s to transition. Squat Boxing, Step ups, CDD’s, Mtn Climbers, Merkins. Ruck/Run the lot and R&R

Announcements: 2ndF around the corner

Prayers: school in VA, fires in Canada and all the people affected by it, Ukraine

Good work men!

Thunder @ PL

So somebody had this great idea to push some HIM to the limit in a 25 minute beatdown and call it Thunder. You against you! Ok,  play Thundserstruck from AC/DC too!

Today was a small turnout with only the fantastic four.  I was a little unprepared for the test because I did not bring a sign to post the 8 exercises to eliminate confusion. Luckily, Hunchback came prepared for class. He ran back to his sled and pulled out a mini dry erase board and marker 👊. Signage is set, AC/DC is playing, and the timer begins.

25 minute – AMRAP

12 x Thrusters, 12 x Curls, 12 x American Hammers ( w/coupon, right side only), 12 x Block Swings, 12 x Bent Over Rows, 12 x Big Boys, 12 x Heels to Heaven, 12 x BURPEES.

I was good will all of these exercises until it came time to do the BURPEES at the end, followed by Thrusters with no rest. Yes, I am whining. We all finished pretty close at the end. There was a little confusion as to how many sets we completed until Hunchback grabbed his heart rate gadget and determined that we had only completed 4 sets of BURPEES  👊

We completed 4 sets and ended half way through the 5th set.  Yes, we can push a little more. How much? We will just have to see come August.

Good work men! Thanks for the push Flintstone 👊

Prayers to the kids graduating 🙏 and God Bless those in Virginia.
