Core & More @Bulldog

Do you check Teamup to see who is Q every time the night before. I seldom do, but last night something said check it out.  Well, I am glad I did, cause it was Tube on the schedule. Oops! Shit happens, right Maybelline! Five Hims showed up to get their breakfast beatdown. Today, we are focusing on lower body with an emphasis on core. I picked my Chevelle Pandora station for a little caffeine kick. Let’s do 50 seconds of work with 10 second to transition.

We start out on our SIX by writing out the ABC’s with our feet. I usually get to U,V or W. Next is Seated Big Circles, LBC’s, R-LBC’s and roll over for some CDD’s. Let’s hit the benches for step ups, side lunges and seated donkey kicks. We then moseyed around the lot with our coupon to return for another set of the same.  R&R

Now flutters, heels to Heaven, Starfish, American hammers, and switch over for some plank jacks. Let’s hit the benches again for step ups, side lunges and seated donkey kicks. We then moseyed around the lot with our coupon to return for another set of the same.  R&R

We got the pledge in before Spiderman had to sling his web towards his next adventure.

With four minutes to spare, we did Mary with more core action led by all.

Announcement: there was talk of a Thunder & Lightning challenge? And a PT Test coning up. I missed the dates. This Saturday, June 3rd @ Forrest City, new AO in Belmont is Snooze on Friday at 6:45am?

Prayer request: The subject was brought up about teenage dating and how much they seem to argue a lot. They have lost the abilities to socialize. Everything is via text or messenger through some app. It’s obvious that technology has had a profound impact our teenagers. It presents challenges, such as potential addiction, social comparison, and the need for constant validation. Finding a balance between utilizing technology for convenience and managing its potential negative effects is crucial for our teenagers’ overall well-being. We also prayed for seniors and CATS bus drivers. My neighbor is a CATS driver and he tells me the side that the media does not cover. These men & women are harassed and threatened almost every day by punks like the one that got shot by the CATS driver. There is no security on these buses and hasn’t been for a while. Pray that they get the security officers needed to protect them.

Good work men!

Core’n more at da Bulldog

Here comes El Toro, Nutria , then Timeframe making it just in the nick of time. I’m feeling a little stiff, so let get some warm ups in first. I’ve fartsacked a lot the last 2 weeks and I am paying for it now. It is amazing what a few days off feels like. We started with legs. What do they say, friends don’t let friends miss leg day.

For one minute: squats, step-ups, lunges, inner calf raises, then outer calf raises. Grab your coupon let’s rifle carry to  one end of the parking lot and curl it coming back. Rinse & Repeat

For one minute: ABC’s, SBC’s, LBC’s, R-LBC’s, CDD’s. Grab your coupon “you pick” to  one end of the parking lot and back. Rinse & Repeat

For one minute: flutters, heels to Heaven, starfish, American hammers, plank jack. Grab your coupon let’s rifle carry to  one end of the parking lot and curl it coming back. Rinse & Repeat

Good workout men! I’ve gained my weight back since Pushing Rocks and I aint happy about it. Need to add more AO’s to my diet.

Announcements: Convergence @ Midoriyama this Saturday @7am

Prayer requests: Nutria’s dad is having cataract surgery, his neighbor’s dad has a brain tumor, and Nutria’s two daughters are getting confirmed tomorrow. Tube’s M’s kidney stones and migraines.

Ranger Panties were represented with pride

I have to give it to this special Him. When you give this Him a challenge, he will take it. Mayor wore his bikini camo boxers to work out in the Gloom.  Gotta Show to Know! Freight took the Gashouse and I took PainLab for a mossy down the nature trail. We rifle carried our coupons down the trail, switched to curls up the hill. Stopped at the benches for step ups and triceps dips. Continued to the picnic table around back for some shelter to set-up camp  to work while it rained. There we did a series of cores for 50 seconds with 10 second transition; Starfish crunch, baby makers, heel to Heaven, LBC’s, rev-LBC’s, Obliques, American hammers, Spidermans. 1 min rest. Next set: sumo squats, high knees, overhead press w/coupon, merkins, Peter Parkers, 1 min rest. Burpees followed by Moroccan nightclubs. Rinse & Repeat both sets.  From the sound of the grunts and groans, it was a challenging workout for some. We marched back to meet up with Gashouse just in time for the bell. Good turnout considering the rain.

Good work men!

Diablo Sammich

It was the triple threat trio that showed to know this morning. The end of the 90 day Pushing Rocks Challenge has caused a decline in Him turnout. Maybe another challenge is in order?

We rucked to Linus’ house for our traditional monkey humpers done right in his driveway. Continued through Colony Wooods with breakouts of work along the way. Stopping at the Urgent Care to test our core strength with some abs work.

Could this be the future site of…..

It was such a cool opportunity to hold Painlab on the Honey Hunters ball field, how cold we resist. We met in the right field at 0700 the morning of the Community Foundation Run. We had 8 Hims and a 2.0 Show to know while the rest of the force competed in the QvsQ finally. It was suggested that we make PainLab 2.0 friendly being that the event is family focused too.

As we are huddling up for warmups, I see a Kotter released from IR. Welcome back Hermie 👊 We begin in a circle with these: ABC, SBC, LBC, R-LBC,  CDD’s, flutters, Heels to Heaven, and American hammers. Lets break for legs, cause friends don’t let friends miss leg day. I call this next set Aiken Legs. 20 squats, mosey out of the field and do lunges for about 50 yards to the steps, step-ups every other, meet at the top to do 20 inner calf raises, then 20 outer calf raises. Now let’s NUR back to the right field. At special request, Timeframe’s 2.0 had already asked to call out some exercises. Hershey called out 5 strong exercises and earned the respect of the Hims 💪. We then repeated the first set of core exercises above as Sledge dropped off for reassignment and Voodoo split for equestrian lessons. The last 10 minutes we went with Mary to switch up the core shredding that these ladies received. These guys love core exercises!

Prayer request: Timeframe’s mother, Calvin’s M’s aunt, Hermie’s knee, prayers for the victims of severe weather and tornados.

Timeframe led us out in prayer 🙏

Be sure to stay upwind from Scrat!

It was a beautiful pre-spring morning in the Carolinas with 32 degrees in the air. Where’s the snow damnit!

Wait, we’re missing a few good men who normally show up? They must be saving up their energy for the Q vs Q tomorrow!

We break from the Pub and head for Colony Woods. We’re missing Linus, so we will stop at his drive and do our traditional Monkey Humpers. We had great mumblechatter while stopping here and there to do squats, merkins, LBC’s and reverse LBC’s.  By the way, I don’t know what Hunchback is feeding Scrat, but please keep our six from now on. That shit was horrible, lol.

Good work men! ….praying for those that could not make it.

Prayers for Mayor, Flintstone’s dad and Pocket’s 2.0 🙏

Core ‘N More @ Painlab this morning

We had a veteran crew this morning so there shouldn’t be any whimpering & whining, …one would expect. We split from Gashouse and began our mosey to our favorite circle. This time I brought a curl bar and some smaller dumbbells to do standing flys. There happens to be five of us, so I set up five exercise stations that we will each take a turn at in rotation.

Set 1: 50 sec of work 10 sec to transition:

overhead press w/ 30 lbs weighted bar, Peter Parkers, American hammers, standing flys, mountain hip dips. rinse & repeat

Interim set: Friends don’t let friends miss leg day, so this one is called Aiken Legs. We line up at the concrete steps and do 20 squats, 20 step ups, 20 lunges, 20 inner calf raises, and 20 outer calf raises with no break. That’s when the whining began. We hell britches, if you would show up more than once a week, then maybe it wouldn’t hurt that sandy v

Set 2: 50 sec of work 10 sec to transition:

overhead flys, curls for the girls, boat hold, baby makers, and CDD’s. rinse and repeat

Let’s take another break and nur (is that how it’s spelled?) to the far side benches. We did incline merkins, tricep dips, step ups and decline merkins. Let mosey back to the circle.

Set 3: 50 sec of work 10 sec to transition:

LBC’s. reverse LBC’s, ABC’s, shadow boxing, heels to Heaven. rinse & repeat.

Let beat it back to base and meet up with the rest of the dogs.

Good work men! We need to do core more often 😁

You talk funny, you aint from round here.

I got woken up around 3 am to help the M with a migraine headache and was a bit grumpy and felt like complaining by the time I got to Bulldog. Was it right? No, I should be grateful that I have an M to take care of. Is it frustrating that she deals with migraines and kidney stones frequently? Yes, but this world is what you make of it. So lets take those frustrations out in the Gloom with these fine Hims that decided not to fartsack this morning. We get some warm-ups in and then start our set of core exercises. Tune in to some Van Halen and lets get to work!

work against the clock for 50 seconds each:

Set 1/2: LBC’s, baby makers, heels to heaven, rev LBC’s, oblique’s, American hammers, Superman – lets rifle carry our coupons around the lot and then R&R

Set 3/4: Burpees, curls, OH press, triceps ext, CDD’d, single curl, decline chest press – lets curl while we walk the lot R&R

You may have guessed it. We talked about where we was from. Ohio, Spain, Charleston and Spidy left early before telling us where he got his birth name? Moving around is never easy, but I will say that it builds character. I can think of many more ways to build character, but some times you don’t have a choice.

Announcements: Primal Extension this Saturday @9am, Pushing Rocks weigh in today

Prayer Requests: Radar’s sister, Bubba Sparks’ 104 year old Grandmother, Clavin’s M, Tubes’ M, Turtleman, Huckleberry, Orangeman’s M traveling.

Good work men! I am happy to know each and every one of you.

Is it hard to get it up after 50?

Diablo Sammich was Blessed with a Kotter this morning, welcome back! We had some great mumblechatter this morning during our Ruck. Ya gotta show to know. We Rucked through Colony Woods, stopped for Merkins, Monkey Humpers, more Merkins and more Merkins. We Rucked back towards the Urgent Care and did Mary for a few minutes, that’s all we had time for.

Good work! Many prayers were mentioned. God Bless those and the one’s that couldn’t make it this morning.

Core Day at PainLab 1/4/23

Another great turnout at the Gashouse! Defib held an intro to CPR with some really good stats on heart health. Some how we had to work for the answers. Good work Defib, we all got educated. After the split, I took my group to educate them on the importance of core training. I found a good 6 min abs workout by Jeff with Athlean-X. We only had 35 minutes left to get to work, so lets not waste any time.

We circle up in the parking lot, hit our six, and start with hands back raises for 60 seconds (much harder than I thought), transition directly to Peter Parkers for 60 seconds, then to cross knee planks (aka slow Peter Parkers) for 60 seconds, and finally a 30 seconds rest. Next we do scissor v-ups for 60, starfish crunch for 60, then upper circle crunches for 60, and finally a 30 sec rest.

We grab our coupons and riffle carry them to the bridge. Drop the weight and bear crawl up the top of the hill. Hit the bench and push out 20 triceps dips, recover and do 20 step ups, move to the Hobbit rock and push out 20 incline merkins. Now lets mosey down the hill, pick up our coupons and round the world with them back up to the parking lot.

Next set is more core! On our six for LBC’s for 60 secs, baby makers for 60, heels to Heaven for 60, and then a 30 sec rest. Start back with rev-LBC’s for 60, oblique LBC’s, American hammers, and finally a 30 sec rest. Time was running out so we rinsed and repeated the LBC’s, baby makers and heels to Heaven before time was up.

Good work men! We returned to meet bootcamp and finished with some flutters.

Once again, great job to Defib.
