Fighting Yank 5/28/22

Beautiful morning to get in some hard work.  Boudin scowl says bootcamp the light option for the day.  0700 so let’s get on it.  We start with the mission of F3.  Warmup of SSH, IW, Gravel pickers and some stretches.  Bunker goes with Boudin.

Bootcamp takes a lap around the block, stop at the turd shack.  Suicides up the hill to central ave at each utility pole.  Hand release merkins at each pole, increase reps by one at each pole.  Each time return to base for three burpees. Took a while to finish.

Mosey across street to retaining wall at First Baptist.    Step ups each leg, dips, and big boys.  10, 15, 20, 15 ,10.  Head back to Yank

Three burpees and base.

Meet back up with Bunker. Pledge.

Discussed quickly the need to act.  As community leaders we hold the responsibility to help those who are in need and those who can’t help themselves.  Little to no male leadership in communities and homes manifest in so many detrimental ways.  It is easy to look at how big the problems are and become overwhelmed.  Enough of us try, then change can happen.

Announcements:  PT test and F3 dads 6/18, tubing on Green River

Prayer requests: Breaker Breaker  travel, kids out of school, Dingy friend in Hospice,  Turtleman, Huckleberry, Tesla family

The Storm 5/17/22

Big EC crowd this morning, at least 7 or 8.  Also had an FNG join us.  0530 hits, time to go.  Pledge.  Short reminder of the mission of F3, and quick word about the choices we get to make.

Warmup of SSH, a few burpees and some stretching.  Mosey around parking lot and stop at school entrance.

Escalator is called.  10 burpees, 20 hand release merkins, 30 flying squirrels, 40 step ups, 50 lbc.  Take a lap around the parking lot.  See how many rounds we can do.

Just before the end, one more hard thing, sprint to the flag for COT

Another quick word about choice.  The choices we make make us into what we are.  If we work hard and give our all in these workouts, we are more likely to carry that into our day giving our best in all that we do.  We talked also about the fact that some guys don’t have the choice to be out there right now.

Turtleman facing a medical procedure that will keep him isolated from most people the next four weeks.  Whooppee encouraging PAX to write a letter to him.  Leave no man behind.

Old School 5/14/22

YHC took the Q after re-scheduling from a few weeks prior.  A few went out for EC run or ruck.  0700 hits, pledge.

Quick review of the mission of F3, then run a warm- up lap.

Workout for the day is 10 stations, 20 reps per station.  Some had a block, some didn’t.  Order of stations was hand release merkins, blockies, crunchy frog, murder bunnies, little baby flutter crunch, curls, jump squat, squat press with block, burpees, flying squirrel.

After the round run four gassers length of field.

Goal was five rounds, that was maybe a little aggressive.  Bat flippers got in three.

Workout was a tough one.  Had a few words at the end of how grateful we are to be able to come out and do what we do.  Short discussion of a tough workout isn’t tough at all.

Turtleman is tough.  Job loss and sick children and numerous other circumstances are tough.

Go out every day and give your very best.

Announcements:  CSAUP 5/21 at the Storm, Memorial Day Murph at Martha Rivers, new Monday, AO starting in Ranlo, GrowRuck training events

TRB 5/04/22

Perfect morning to put in some work at TRB.  Some EC miles beforehand for a few. Time hits.  Mission of F3 stated along with some encouragement that we all have a duty to give our best effort every day.  Work hard and get better.

Warmup is bear crawl to the end of the awning and back.   Head to the track for a mosey.  Some didn’t feel comfortable with the direction of the mosey.  This is all about getting comfortable being uncomfortable.

Stop at the bleachers for the main course.  500 step ups.  Not all participated, but those that did had a great time.

Few minutes remain, so head back to the awning.  Start at first pole, one hand release merkin, next pole for two, etc.  Make it to eight and started to come back down.  Finished at 5.  Back to flag for pledge.

YHC intended to use the step up work out mention the Chad 1000 later in the year, but totally forgot, fail.  But we did talk about the workouts being only a part of what F3 is about.  Bigger mission is to help men be better men.  Shield lock, whetstone, Q source, GrowRuck are more tools.  If you are not participating or don’t know what these are, let me know, happy to help.

Fighting Yank 1/29/22

18 strong at the Yank and Bunker on a cold, breezy morning made the choice to get a little better.  FNG joined us, welcome to Finkle!, on an invite from Bubba Sparxx.  I think when  Q school happens there should be a lesson on greeting your FNG upon arrival.  YHC gave disclaimer and talked about the mission of F3 with a squeaky voice.  Also encouraged all men to give it their very best every single time.  Your why deserves nothing less.

Time hits warmup with SSH, IW, Burpees, merkins, and some stretching.  Bootcampers with YHC.  Mosey up Main to the tennis courts at Sacred Heart.  Time for some blocks and murder bunnies.

Blocks get disbursed, 9 super size and 3 regular.  The big ones are really tough.  Not to mention that there are a lot of tennis courts as well.  10 blockies and murder bunny to the opposite end for 10 more blockies, murder bunny back.  Lots of moaning and groaning on this, YHC included.  Time to omaha the weinke.  Drop the big blocks but hang on the small ones.  3 Pax get on the small ones for 10 thrusters and muder bunny to the end.  Everyone else bear crawl suicide to each sideline of the tennis courts and do an exercise.  Exercises were hand release merkins, burpees, LBC and american hammers.  When pax on the blocks reach the end, three pax replace them to do the exercise and murder bunny back to start.  Rotate until all pax get a turn on the blocks.

Few minutes remain so line up on near sideline for suicides to each sideline of all courts, touch with hand.  Almost completed, time to mosey back to start.

Pledge
