Some fine HIM posted at Crossroads to better themselves better physically and through the Q Source topic of Queen. A lot of great discussion on how you can’t “Out King” your Queen. Proper diet, portion control, accountability and taking the DRP are the building blocks of reinforcing your Queen.

It was an early launch for the DBC and not remembering that Blart told me he wasn’t feeling up to par the night before and might not make it, I forgot to circle back at 06:30 to release the HIMs. But upon returning I realized the mistake and picked up the six. It was duly noted that Slaw was not present and there was some speculation as to whether it was a wild night at the latest pinky raising, wine swirling, and bouquet sniffing vineyard stop or simply the fact that SA had gone to the beach and Slaw was concerned there wouldn’t be any bat flippers available for him to run with??? Fun was had by all! It was then inside for a discussion on “Get Right”.

Rolled into Crossroads and found a lone PAX getting ready to launch. Balljoint rolled in next gettin a little EC in, then another, then another and pretty soon we topped out at five. Off we went and back again at 7:15 but one PAX shy. Seems Bed Pan decided his allergy driven snot would make for some good running fuel but his stomach did not concur! 🙁 We wrapped it up with the COT and then inside for QSource on LDP.

Eight HIMs showed for a fine morning of running, rucking, or walking. It was a little on the humid side but some work got done and some men got better. After the COT and Double Stack momentarily forgetting his F3 name, we moved inside for a Q-Source topic on “Beating the Devil”.

I’m Broke
Perfect morning for a run and 7 PAX agreed and showed to swallow the DRP. We scattered then returned for COT and Q-Source.

Pulled in to Crossroads to find Dr. Seuss and Roundup standing in the cold after already running 5 waiting for S.A. , Broke to come by so they could join them. Just a few minutes pass and off they go for another 5 miles. I leave out for my ruck to find some hills to climb. Somewhere along the way Purple Haze found his way to Crossroads running from his house. Wirenut got in some work too. It was good to see each of these men this morning.
Slaw and Sparky joined us for QSource to go over chapter 5 of The Way of the Sheppard.

Man the Sky-Q really was really laying down the white stuff as I slipped and slid my way into the Ingles parking lot. A quick look and I saw a lone Duke Energy truck ready for some work! Just two of us showed and only one with running attire so we decided to share a good fellowship walk rather than breaking a leg or ankle in the snow. The wind cut pretty hard as we headed towards town but when we finally made the return loop it was there that we truly got to enjoy the peaceful quietness of the snow storm… ok it was me & Wirenut so probably not a lot of quietness 🙂 We finished our walk and decided to head back to the house rather than mosey inside for a hot cup of joe. Nothing wrong with a recovery day and some 2nd F every now and then!
I arrived at Crossroads a few minutes early this morning thinking I might grab an extra mile. Only one other F3 sticker in the parking lot and it was attached to a really high dollar truck that few can afford but apparently working from a recliner will buy you! A couple of minutes pass and two more PAX show. 6:30 arrives so off we go. About a half mile in, we encounter the owner of said high dollar truck and I shout out to ask if he cares to join us around the college but he ignores me so I have to assume it was just some disgruntled old man and not who I thought it was! The Mayor and I continued around the college and even did a little exploring on the law enforcement high speed track. We headed back to Ingles with a big push at the end to get a negative split. We joined two other PAX but no sign of the truck nor the grumpy old man… well at least I thought… Mayor muffles something about Def Leppard but I didn’t catch exactly what as I was grabbing my phone for COT. Inside we go for Q-Source where I introduced the book The Way of the Shepherd. As I’m leaving for home, that’s when I notice that yes it was in fact Leppard that I saw as he left one of his signature nipple covers (aka: bandaid) prominently attached to my driver side mirror! Later, as I perused Slack I discovered photographic evidence that Mayor was the recipient of the matching nipple cover. The funniest part to me though was when my 2.0 saw it and asked “what’s that” and how after I explained it she gave me the eeewww face and advised me NOT to tell the M!!! 😂
