2 HIMS came out to a loosely organized Labyrinth, but all put in solid work.
17 PAX came out to the Storm to put in some solid work.
We did a good warmup, then moseyed out to the main road, doing 5 burpees at every speed bump there and back.
Did a few other exercises, but there was some dispute over the technical name of the speed bumps that for some reason just needed a few burpees to move past. On the way back from the second run, a few of the PAX were adamant that they were called road humps, so we did Monkey Humpers before finishing up with a poorly thought out round of Dora-ish workouts.
Ran through Martha Rivers parking lot and between fields, stopped and did step ups and dips at the shack, lots of burpees were had. Everyone was definitely in favor of more burpees, but I had to keep us moving through the woods over to Gastones Hill for some bear crawls and merkins and squats.
On the way back, Watts Up and HushPuppy decided they wanted to do even more burpees, so we learned how HushPuppy does burpees, isolating each movement, ending with Bobby Hurleys. It was suggested we do 8-count body builders to finish strong.
8 PAX showed up in the gloom to put in some work at The Ricky Bobby on 10/12/22
Started off with the usual, warmup, pledge, obligatory safety statements.
Usual cycle of burpees, merkins, then moseyed around the building. then arrived around back and did 8-count body builders, kraken burpees, & Hushpuppy burpees.
At this point I deleted the weinke on my phone and had to freestyle, which led to bear crawls, karaoke, lunges skips, etc across the front of the school.
Introduced a new exercise called “Tapioca”. Basically its a greatly shorten version of Karaoke, that would fit in a speed ladder.
I rolled into Folsom Saturday Morning with a plan for rain. The rain passed, but the workout was set. This was my 100th post and my mom’s 73rd Birthday. With that information I planned the day.
Warm up:
25 SSH ic
We moseyed down the shelter to begin. As we moved tables we found broken glass in the middle of the floor. These HIMs didn’t even flinch, they moved the table over the glass and got to work.
The Thang(3 rounds):
50 Plank Jacks
50 Hello Dollies
100 LBCs
50 Merkins
50 Leg Raises
100 Lunges(50/side)
50 Breakdancer Merkins
50 Groiners
100 Gas pumpers
100 Mtn Climbers
The mumble chatter began after the first round. Gearwrench was complaining about pulling his right nut and modified accordingly. We got about halfway through the last round, omaha’d and moseyed back to the COT.
700 reps/round for 3 rounds in honor of my Mom’s Birthday. Great job HIMs!!
Ozark Out
5 showed for some work in the gloom. 3 rucked and 2 ran.
We solved all the world’s problems while discussing Leave Right at Q Source. Our work is done. You should have been there.
Until the next one.

8 PAX showed at Midoriyama on Thursday. This is exactly how it went down. Before we got started we were talking about a move Blueprint introduced called soccer kicks. Picture kicking a hacky sack to yourself using the inside of each foot. Leppard gave it a try and it looked like he was trying to do some slow motion discount river dance. It was like you could watch the information drip from his brain to his feet.
Warmup:
SSH, high knees, butt kickers, soccer kicks-these were cut short after I saw Leppard trying again. It was really to much to handle let’s just mosey.
The Thang:
At the small soccer field we paired up for some Dora. 100 WWI’s, 200 Flutters count one leg, 300 overhead claps. Instead of run do 10 step ups on the bleachers then switch. After this we split into teams of four for some soccer. We are all pretty terrible. Some due to inexperience and others due to not playing in years. Def Leppard didn’t realize that soccer is a very physical game and expected it to be played like some new age ussy with a p sport. He wanted a safe space to decide where he would like to kick the ball. I let him know that it was ok to put some body into it when competing for the ball by doing so. Well this really upset his soft demeaner. Some time later as I attempted to steal the ball away from him he reached directly out with a push. While I’m tough and play that way this didn’t stop me. He continued to grab, hold and lean against me. All still ok with me. We are competing and that’s a part of it. I still managed to steal the ball away and as I made my exit away from him he fell down. That’s what happens when you put all your weight against something that moves. He seemed to get a little, we will say frustrated at this point. Blaming me for the whole exchange. It would seem Leppard has watched some modern day soccer and thought the flopping and crying was just a part of the game. While he has threatened a fight many times this was about as close as he has come. Hate to see it! Any way I think 7 of us had a good time and all the sprinting made me want to throw up. Fortunately team Broke, Blart, Pall Bearer, Freight won 7-6 or was it 5? Doesn’t matter, we won.

Word from recent sermon at Parkwood:
..to see God move in our daily lives: live in a constant awareness of the Holy Spirit, bathe ourselves in prayer, trust God every day. If we did, we’d be living on a constant mission trip, which is God’s design. God has given us that message..along with the provision of the Holy Spirit..to make that message known. The Lord is still working His story through our lives..individually and together.

YHC has been working his way back into the gloom on a regular basis. So far so good. It’s been a while since I’ve had the Q, but ready to at least pull off a strong JV, at minimal, workout.
Arrived early for a little mumblechatter and stretching.I had intended on getting our morning showers during the event, but Mother Nature pushed the rain on out of the area. My watch strikes time. No FNGs, so quick disclaimer and we get to work.
Warmarama
SSH x10 IC, mosey to the tennis courts. Mumblechatter about how we had no warm up….
Line up for the Sparky inspired routine. Sparky used a 20-1 several exercise workout with coupons quite a few times. I decided to use the 20-1 factor and apply it to something extremely simple, yet effective. It might just be the easiest written Weinke in Folsom history?
Thang
20-1: 3 exercises; merkins, Squats, big boys; start with 20 each, run the tennis court and back and get 19 each, repeato until you finish with 1 rep each. This would put the total reps at 630 and the run distance at right about 2.25 miles. It seemed so easy. I wasn’t exactly sure if this could be completed in 45, but I knew some batflippers would definitely push it and everyone else to get it done.
It’s time, so we mosey back to start.

MDUB out!
It felt like Monday as I pulled into Pelicans for my first-ever post at The Labyrinth. Don’t know if today’s “Site Q Swap” was a surprise to anyone, but it doesn’t matter. Planting the guest shovel flag at 0528, I was greeted by EZ Rider, JJ, and Captain Stubing.
At 0530 we began with the pledge then warmed up with SSH, Hillbilly walkers, Plank jacks and Nolan Ryans (each 10xIC) and 5 burpees OYO. Next moseyed across the street to the brightly lit bank parking lot for The Thang: Do an exercise until the first PAX reaches the specified number of reps and calls “Done!” then run a lap around the building and repeato. Really it was 1.25 laps since we changed corners for each exercise. Another twist in the rules = same PAX cannot finish first for 2 exercises in a row. Exercises were:
25 hand-release merkins
50 squats
75 flutter kicks (count one leg)
PAX started to catch on to the routine at this point. Mumblechatter speculated about which exercises are suited for high rep counts. I commented that the Weinke was carefully orchestrated so that we’d make it to 250 burpees. All of a sudden there was concern about Maybelline and the alternate “Site Q Swap” experience over at The Ricky Bobby. Continuing the progression:
100 Nolan Ryans (single count / 50 each side)
125 Air presses
150 Rocky Balboas (count both sides)
175 mountain climbers (count both feet)
150 LBC’s (These were tough but accompanied by sighs of relief that 250 burpees was an idle threat or Omaha.)
125 Morrocan nightclubs
100 plank jacks
75 American hammers (count both sides)
50 squats
25 hand-release merkins
With 5 minutes left on the clock, we circled up for 3 rounds of rapid-fire Mary, then moseyed back to the flag for COT.
Announcements (check Slack):
Convergence Saturday 0700 at Bulldog (WA Bess Elementary)
Christmas party Dec 3 at Lewis Farm

Lagniappe: Every Wednesday for most of the past 2 years (as long as I’ve been in town), I’ve posted at The Ricky Bobby. It’s conveniently across the neighborhood (though inconveniently at 0530…). Every now and then, though, it’s good to disrupt your normal routine and try something new. I know well the terrain surrounding Pelican’s because I’m a Sandlot regular. But, big kudos to Maybelline, who took on the Q this morning at The Ricky Bobby, a site he’s never visited!
