Midoriyama 10/4/22

We got some practice in for Freights ultimate frisbee tournament coming up Thanksgiving. For whatever reason everyone was really hustling this game. We were all wore out by the end. Sister Act showed up to get me back for a previous ultimate frisbee injury that he blames on me but was really Gold Diggers fault. He did give me a shot to the jaw, but it was a small price to pay for the W!!!!!

Last of the Midoriyama Heat

I freestyled this one with some mobility and running drills. last 15 mins or so was some ultimate rules football. It was a blowout for sure and I think Leppards team won (only bc he was on my team this time). Temps were in the 90’s most of the day but began to cool off during the workout as a cooler front moved in.  It was fun as always!

Mosey to field

I have some cones and an agility ladder set up. Split into 2 groups. Group 1 runs thru the cones and ladder until group 2 finishes Triple Nickel on the Hill.

1st round: Mtn Climbers and Freddy Mercury

2nd round: Diamond Merkins and Big Boys

After each group finished both parts of round 1 we gathered to do some stretching.  Then moved on to round 2. Stretched again after round 2

Finished with some running drills and sprints.

Big Kahuna

8 men showed for a JV workout. Started out with some mobility, core, and hip work, followed by some Ultimate Frisbee. I bought a new frisbee called the “Big Kahuna”. It was a hit. Very stable and easy to throw. Game was very competitive and I’m pretty sure my team won.

Mini Ultimate Frisbee

Only 7 showed up for Midoriyama on this Thursday. A Tornado Warning and some dark clouds scared off everyone I guess. I had planned on some Ultimate Frisbee if we had enough but with only 7 I figured we didnt have enough. After some deliberation we decided to go ahead and play anyway. Termite wasnt feeling it so he did some intervals and hill runs. The rest of us played a 3v3 game on a shortened field. We also played with a disc golf mid distance disc which we quickly learned was a lot different to throw than our normal disc. We didnt keep score but i do know Leppard lost. Short field was still tough with only 3v3 and I think we were all wore out by the end of the game. Finished up with about 10 mins of stretching and a mosey to the flag.

 

 

Mall Walkers, a few HIMS, and whatever Def Leppard is.

Again, I figured we would have a small crowd and those that would show would probably be sore from the relay.  Broke and Oompa showed despite being injured. They did some Mall Walking. The rest of us moseyed to the small soccer field and of course did some typical Wojo things. I freestyled it again with a lot of the drills and exercises carried over from my Q the thursday before. Leppard did his best with his “injury”. Finished up with about 10 mins of stretching and a easy mosey back to the flag.

3 amigos

With the SMR coming up and some on IR I knew it would be a light crowd. Around 5:25 or so Blart rolls in followed by Gumby. That was it, three. We moseyed on over to the small soccer field and did some typical Wojo things. I made it up as we went. Finished w/ about 10-15 mins of good stretching.

Midoriyama 3/29/22

Can’t remember exactly what we did.  I know we tried a game that didn’t work out as I was hoping so I did some freestyling. Lots of work on the legs, especially the hip flexors. Go Heels!
