Odoriferous Beginnings at the Bulldog

It was Tuesday Nov 9th and the Pax started to gather at what was promising to be an awe inspiring workout at the Bulldog.  A cool high 30’s and clear morning with Jupiter, the Moon, Saturn, and Venus all in a row and clearly visible from the Bulldog track.

We planted the Flag and said the Pledge.

No FNG’s

No warmup,

The thaang was the SSH’s and LBC’s ladder down by 10’s.  All other exercises stay constant.

60 SSH’s

60 LBC’s

20 squats

20 monkey humpers

20 merkins

20 plank jax

20 mountain climbers

20 American hammers

20 flutters

20 Freddie Mercury’s

Finished just in time.

Walk a lap around the flower bed island.  This was originally planned to be walk down to the concrete pad beside the loading dock.  Q fail the this was not properly scouted and had an overwhelming odor from the trash dumpsters that deemed the location uninhabitable.  It was Omaha’d to walking around the island in the parking lot where all we had to deal with was 5 sweaty dudes.

Prayers;

Tube’s aunt started chemo and radiation this week

Just a Walk in the Park

2 HIM’s and YHC met on a beautiful Thursday morning for some rucking and other fun.

We did do some rucking.  All had ruck sacks.  Stopped off for some Abe Pagodas, step ups, dips, ab work, and fellowship.

Was an honor today.

The Quadruple Nickel

It turned out to be a nice Saturday morning to my pleasant surprise and in spite of all of the weather reports that I heard.  Cloudy and overcast but no rain.  Maybe this threat of rain is what held some of the Gashouse regulars back.  Maybe it was the fartsack monster.

Bootcamp had 4.  Painlab had 4…it was great to see Hunk A Junk.

Bootcamp did 4 triple nickels and 3 laps of 20 squats and a lap.  I’m just going to call it 5 triple nickels.

Anyway, we had some fun.  The guys were great as always.  Solid workout.

It was a real honor to take the rains.

Bull What? ….Bull Dog!

5:30 and YHC showed with 1 minute to spare.  YHC thought there was plenty on time to meander on the way to to AO when time snuck up and shaved it a little too close for comfort.  However, still just on time we began.  There was some 11’s, stretching, SSH’s, squats, dips, calves, dips, LBC’s, pull overs with coupons, chest presses with coupons, merkins, and I’m sure other temporarily forgotten implements of destruction.

It was great to see the guys.  It was a fantastic way to start the day.

Three Amigos………and………Tube

It was a rainy Tuesday morning at the Bulldog.  Spiderman, Hermey, and myself were getting it in doing some 11’s and other exercises.  Conversation was good, mumble chatter was moving along nicely.  Roughly 30 mins in we just happened to speaking of Tube and lo and behold Tube rolls up.  His ears must have been burning.  Better late (very) than never.  We all had a good time tho.

The Dog Pound

YHC pulled into the Bulldog to find a gathering PAX of HIM’s eager to get it in.  No FNG’s but it was my first time meeting Rebar and Drizzle.  It was a pleasure meeting you guys and looking forward to seeing you around.  We also had some familiar faces, just not “round these parts”.  It was nice to see Orangemen, Radar, and Bubba Sparxxx this morning.  Watts Up, Dry Rub, Outhouse, Hermie, and Spiderman…always a pleasure.

It was a balmy 70ish degrees and muggy.  The asphalt had to be warmer than that.  Lots of sweating.

Pledge

Warmup:

Stretching and SSH’s

The Thang:

We worked out.  We used kettlebells for some stuff but not everything.

All the same exercises one would expect.

Good times had by all.  Everyone pushed hard and got stronger.  It was a fantastic way to start the day.

It was an honor.  Thanks for the push guys.
