Hangin with Fruity Pebbles at The Crick

Nutria posted downrange at “The Crick.”  The name of the AO is not how your neck feels when you sleep the wrong way and can’t turn it in a particular direction without a sharp stabbing pain shooting all the way down your spine.  No, “crick” is a southern term that means a shallow stream of water, aka creek.  But some people call it a “crick” which is almost as bad as the yankees who call it a “brook.” Anyway, we did burpees and some other dumb stuff.

Diapers and Jock Straps

Not sure what kind of AO Breaker Breaker is trying to establish, but the diapers and jock straps laying around in the parking lots are definitely cause for concern. Big crowd at The Storm this morning, Sister Act decided to post instead of doing Hot Yoga with the Silver Sneakers ladies group in Stanley and Ball Joint thought the coffeeteria meant Mich Ultra in the parking lot so he showed up as well. Here’s what we did….

Warmup

Mosey to rear bus lot by the loading docks and partner up.

I’ve learned that the PAX in F3 have trouble counting, but most know their ABC’s so we kept it simple.

One PAX does the exercise while the other runs, jumps on the loading dock, does a burpee and returns via the ramp. 2 rounds of following exercises.

– American Hammers

B – Big Boys

C – Crunchy frogs

D – Dying Cockroaches

Another mosey to the main parking lot and line up on the wall for 5 of a kind.

5 Hip Slappers

5 Merkins at each island

5 IW Squats at opposite end

Return to start with 5 Merkins at each island

R&R x5

Next up was suicides.

1st Island = 10 American Hammers

2nd Island = 10 Big Boys

3rd Island = 10 Crunchy frogs

Opposite end = 10 Dying cockroaches

3 Burpees each time you return to start.

Back to the start for 10 Burpees and 20 LBC’s.

The Last Pre-Mortimer Halfpipe

3 braved the hills of the Halfpipe this morning for the last training run there before The Mortimer.  All three present are HRB veterans.  Much was discussed during the run, mostly our excitement for the upcoming “flat” relay this weekend.

No dogs or sasquatch sited on the route.

It was fun.

Lots coming up in March and April in F3 Gastonia.

Several prayer requests.

Until the next one.  Aye.

Toe Risers and Window Shopping

Beautiful 50 degree morning.  Feeling more springish by the day.  Nice and clear and dry.  Perfect.

Great crew of regulars and the Nantan assembled for the first of the Tuesday edition of the Diablo Sammich.

Since we all showed and the weather was perfect, lets get movin!

Pledge

Ruck to Robinson Elementary School.

10 Step Ups each leg on wall in front of school.

Ruck around back to steps.

3 “toe risers” each step.  The chatter was inquisitive and slightly demeaning.  Good times!

Head back across Union Rd.  Q fail, there is no sidewalk here so we take a different route.  Ok, back on track.

Look into the window of the new Ace Hardware.  Head over to the new storage place and look in the window there too.

10 step ups on wall in front of Auto Zone.

There were some heartfelt prayer requests.

It was a true honor to lead.

Mountain climbers without mountain climbers

8 HIM posted at the Sandlot on 3/4/24 for a good ole fashion running heavy bootcamp.  I announced on slack that there may be Mortimer training going on.

Warm-up – yes we did, then off to Ace hardware for some wall work including air presses and dirty hook-ups.  Continue mosey to Valvoline for some ab work including flutters and LBCs.  This was all done to to trick pax into following me to Gastone’s Hill where the real work began. – 4 trips up the hill with exercises at mailboxes the first three times.  Exercises were 5 hand release merkins, 10 squats, then 15 calf raises. Last trip up hill was a straight NUR.  Back to flag just in time for COT.

Thanks for indulging the Q today.  Sorry (not sorry) for the beatdown.

Sleepy Coconut horse

6 HIM ran and 3 rucked coconut horse on 3/3/24.  Afterwards several stuck around for “Q-source like ” education regarding the importance of sleep.  From Dr. Peter Atia’s newest book Outlive,  we reviewed why getting 8 hours of sleep will improve not only your day to day functioning, but can prevent or delay serious diseases like heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.

As always it was my pleasure to serve.  Until next time Defib out
