Cetirizine Difficiency

After dragging around some kind of head cheese for 5 days and being down range for some R&R, it was time to get back to my regularly scheduled program. I was looking forward to a push from my Gashouse gloom brothers. Of course, I didn’t really consider the impact of 5-day head cheese on leading my workout (especially calling cadence). Perhaps some better planning could have helped me avoid the certirizine deficiency. Or not!

Anyway… here is what happened.

Derecho – So We Run

It was gloomy. It was early. It’s Monday. Would anyone show up? Why did I tell Defib I would do this today? Well actually, I still owe a debt to Defib for the terrific massage……cigarette please.

As I turned toward The Storm, I saw multiple cars. I guess I will be Q’ing a workout this morning. Qwuizchea was the only one that received my memo about orange shirts…thank you. Nice to see another soccer Dad on the Pitch this morning (Boudin). Let’s go.

Quick disclaimer but no FNG’s, just 7 strong men (plus YHC) ready to start the week off right.

Warm-Up (In-Cadence)

SSH X 10
Imperial Walkers X 10

Let’s go.

We ran. Goat Island. Downtown Cramerton. Goat Island. Back to The Storm.

Mary (In-Cadence)

Flutter Kicks X 20
LBC’s X 20

Done. Around 4 miles. Pink Floyd: “This is twice as far as I have ever ran.” That was great to hear and made my time worthwhile this morning. This is why we do this, to get more of us working to be better leaders in better shape. Thanks for the words.

Anouncements: CSAUP on November 11-12; Sign up now.

Prayer Requests. Name-O-Rama.

Thanks for the push men. I was sore from the weekend workout and really didn’t want to get out there today. Without F3, I would have fartsacked for sure with nothing to show for my morning.

Thanks for the honor to lead today.

Until the next one. Aye!

Forrest Gump Returns

I looked back at a few old workouts of mine and found one I last did almost exactly a year ago. I called it the ‘Forrest Gump’ and decided it was time to bring it back. But first, kudos to Monk for a great 3rd F just before the main event on Saturday. It was a good reflection on the BRR and tying it into the spirituality of the event.

The gloom was relatively cooler than it has been so a large crowd gathered for a breakfast helping of beef and noodles. We did have an FNG arrive (due to reading a recent article in the Gaston Gazette; so that’s proof that someone does read the local newspaper) so we went through the disclaimer before getting on with it. Near the end of the 3rd F, I believe I saw Blart jogging into the parking lot looking like he was finishing some extra credit work. Nice work Blart.

Warm-Up (In-Cadence)

While partner 1 performed the reps, partner 2 ran the sidewalk toward the pool, made steps and returned. This was switched off until all the reps were completed.
