A Faster Backblast Than Sister Act

I know it normally takes 7 weeks to get a backblast out of Crossroads but have no fear, Montross is here with a timely backblast. I will keep it simple today.

14 men showed at Crossroads. Some like myself and Wojo were picking up our training, some were recovering after the Santa Hustle, a few walked, and a few rucked. Good to see such a crowd out there today. The P200 isn’t that far away so get started training guys (cough, Allen Tate, cough).

Canoe?

10 men avoided the fartsack this morning and put in some miles at Crossroads.  Great work gentleman, way to continue to push!!

Honor to lead you today men!  Always look forward to time with  my F3 brothers. However, thanks to my fellow F3 brothers, I had to explain to the Starbucks lady today why I’m called a Canoe.  Interesting conversation to say the least 😳.  Thanks men!

14 various and assorted runners started at various and assorted times from Ingles in Dallas with various and assorted distances and paces. Gold Digger is training for a marathon and got in a speedy 18 miles. Pizza Man, Defib and Tool Time all got in a half marathon at 13.1 miles. Broke took off for 8 miles. Most everyone else pulled 5 miles. Welcome 2 FNG’s. Nature Boy – Trevor Adams who is a wrestler for Hacksaw at W.C. Friday. Tiny – Kevin Mills who I am not sure was in the workout but was there for COT and I wasn’t going to NOT give him a name. I went to school with him and we played baseball together a while back. Nice way to start a cooler Sunday Morning. Coffeeteria followed.

Sore

6 PAX posted at Crossroads Sunday morning for what YHC was calling the recovery ruck. 5 had run in the CSAUP the day before and the other was often seen on the course(T-Claps to Hacksaw for his support). I decided to step up the ruck a little by adding some stuff to carry. We threw in some bricks and 2-20lbs dumb bells. Even a 5 lbs brick gets a little taxing on the hands after a while. We weren’t fast today but we had some good conversations(the best part of rucking)! All in all we did a little over 4 miles. Hacksaw was doing curls the whole time. SA complained a lot but was amazed at how many calories his watch said he burned. Golddigger struggled with walking and not running.  Either way these guys all came out and got after again!
