Deconstructed Burpees

At Diablo, we hiked to Waffle House.  At every parking lot, we did deconstructed burpees. 15 merkins, 15 squats, 30 mountain climbers.

(You can’t do burpees wearing a 30lb pack.)

Finished with a ton of calf raises at Waffle House, which got us a few odd looks

Climbing the walls

Today at Diablo, we rucked to the Dr’s office.  We took turns climbing the wall between parking lots.  On each side, we did squats, merkins, calf raises and more.

We hiked to the top of the hill and planked at the top for a 60 count.

Prayers for Tube, dealing with family issues.

Going for distance, going for speed

We kept it simple.  We rucked.  Back through the neighborhood and up Gaston’s hill.

We focused on distance and focused on speed.
We didn’t stop for push-ups or anything (except traffic.)

The idea was to keep our cardio rate up and keep our muscles engaged the whole time.  Distance and speed.

Oompa Loompa has requested guest Q next week

Announcements: F3 Lunch is coming up.  The details are on Slack.
Prayer requests: For everyone fighting COVID.  For kids (young and college-age) returning to classes this week.

Diablowers Diab-rock!

The Diablowers (a name you should call them by) rucked through the Gloom to Martha Rivers.

We did:

Squats

Step ups

Dips (lots of them)

KLAW

And a little diddy I call Merry Go Merkins.  (Push-up, then rotate to the right, then keep going until you make a full circle)

Announcements:  Feb 19 there is a Diversity event with the Scouts.  All are welcome. BB guns, archery, and other manly-kid stuff.

F3 name was almost “Quiver”

The men of Diablo Sammich rucked to Waffle House while curling a 20lb kettle bell.  (We took turns.)

We did lower half squats until the men begged for mercy.

Then we did a few more.

We did merkins (sp?) too but these seasoned individuals were too manly (or winded) to complain.

We had an FNG show up.  He’s a friend I had in an EH for a while now.  He mentioned he was into archery when he was younger and his favorite movie was Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

We almost gave him the F3 name “Quiver” but instead dubbed him “Locksley” as in “Robin of”.  He’s already said he’s coming back again this week.

The Waffle House hustle

At Diablo Sammich we hustled to Waffle House. At every parking lot, we did squats and merkins. When squats seemed to easy, we switched to bottom-half only squats. The usual suspects were there and for that I am grateful.

Announcements: Christmas Party

Moderate Mondays, 5:30 am.   (I went.  Not moderate, but solid. )

“If that’s a dead body, I have to report it.”

Today at Diablo Sammich men rucked. Men mumbled. Men sweated. (Is that grammatically correct?) Men pushed it.

Those men?
Tube
TimeFrame
CastleRock
Hermy (R)

Men listened to TimeFrame tell a nail biting thriller about a dead body under a blanket.

Prayers: Tube’s aunt battling cancer, TimeFrame’s mother losing a close family friend, and CastleRock’s aunt in a nursing home with only a few days left.

Announcements: Diablo Sammich will be closed on Thanksgiving day.  Everyone agreed to do it that way.  Diablo folks are welcome to attend the Pub 5K.

Rucking School @ Diablo

This my first backblast.
We had five in attendance:
El Toro
Tube
Flintstone
Linus
Da Vinci

We rucked to Martha Rivers, where we did “round the world” step ups. We started on park benches under the shelter and moved around them in a circle (3x). We KLAWed. We did 4x dips at 15 each on park benches. We slalomed between lights on the path.

We ended it with double timed back to Sno-Balls, where we lunged around the building. Then we did two rounds of Mary for abs (flutter kicks, LBCs, big boys, baby makers, cockroaches, etc).

Prayers for Tube’s brother in law struggling with substance abuse.

Announcements:
Blood Drive – November 10th – See Bubba Sparxxx’s post for available times
Christmas Party – December 11th @ 7 PM – HC in Slack
