While HIMs did the Iron PAX challenge, we put in some miles.
Lots of work happening in F3 Gastonia today!
With quarantines and injuries hitting Folsom, it was a good time to invite Rusty Shackleford and get some work in.
First we pledged
The Thang:
We watched 2 episodes of King of the Hill doing Burpees for every Bobby or Dale that was said.
While the episode played we did intervals of 2 and 3 minutes of the following exercises.
It was a time of great work and fellowship.

It was a humid morning with the awful smell of skunk at Folsom, but 10 HIMS still pushed through the obstacles and are now better for it.
The Thang:
We had 6 stations around the tennis courts. At each station was a die, some F3 work out deck cards, and a piece of paper with number on it 1 through 6.
We would roll the die and run counter clockwise around the tennis courts to the numbered station, pick a card, do the exercise, and repeat.
COT:
On Saturday, Rudolph provided us a number and that number was 84.
Psalm 84 1-2: How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord;my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
We need to long for the Lord, live for Lord, and sing for joy to the living God. Our salvation is not provided by chance like the workout this morning.

We rucked, walked, or ran.
We then studied the book of Obadiah, how it relates to our current events, and finished up with the comfort of knowing God’s unwavering love for His people.
Obadiah 1:15 – “For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your deeds shall return on your own head.”

7 PAX for a fun Pain Lab that featured a few episodes from the show “King of the Hill”.
Rusty Shakleford made an appearance and we learned self defense at the YMCA by shouting “That’s my purse.. I do not know you.”
The Thang:
As the episodes played we did AMRAP at two minute intervals.
The exercise were:
Everytime we heard “Bobby” a burpee was owed. We got in a little over 2 rounds then lunged walk to start to met back up with the Gashouse.
Great work by all and good fellowship. Thank you for the opportunity lead.

There were 13 strong HIMs getting better at Folsom this morning. Today, the PAX heard several stories of YHC younger years. You have to show to know the details.

Michah 7:8 Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.

Miles were put in, pledge was said, and prayers were given.
Proverbs 15:1 – “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”

YHC felt like he was back in junior high. YHC created a sweet mixtape with no one to give it too. The playlist included snippets from Adrian Cronauer, Snoopy vs the Red Baron, Ragged Old Flag, and the Ballad of the Green Berets.
YHC took a mosey to the horse stables and went through the F3 deck of pain, less the lunges, (YHC did plenty of those at Mt Hollywood.) then mosey back to start.
Prayers
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
