The Empty Chair

9 PAX posted on a beautiful Easter morning. Defib came up due to The Coconut Horse being closed. I’d say it was good to see him but I got stuck running with him and Seuss so they pushed me a little faster than I wanted to go. I needed it though. I’ve been struggling a bit on my runs and needed the push to recognize I had it in me. Mayor was a little late due to a wreck Slaw may have caused and left the people on the side of the road. As we were hitting the last 1/2 mile we could hear PH start singing at his church’s sunrise service. I guess he had his hearing aids turned down.

After words we discussed shorties at Q Source. We’ve been trying to not use the Q Source manual and just use the topic to find out own material. I shared a lot of stats about why fathers are important. 1st the positive impact fathers have on children and all parts of their life. 2nd the benefit of being a father and what it does to us. 3rd how not having a father impacts children. 4th how we can help fatherless children and even men who aren’t fathers can help out.

If you have been paying attention I’ve been posting a pic of an empty chair on Sundays for those regulars that aren’t there. A little dynamic shaming never hurt anyone. For those at Members Only, yes I know Seuss has been there but I like giving him a hard time anyway. This morning it was for Jesus Christ as a representation of the empty tomb.
