Thursday mornings location was more North of my location and about 25 minutes from the hotel.
0530 and there are 8 PAX’s include me. Q was Funny Car. There were a few guys from yesterday that I had met. I good overall workout and I look forward to seeing these guys more when I’m back up this way. At least once per month.
I have several customers in the Suffolk, Virginia area and will be spending several days in the future here, so I found a Hampton Inn that is kind of in the middle of several AO’s, not quite like our Gashouse. Each AO is about 15-25 minutes away from the hotel.
Wednesday morning was first with Bear Country. Arrived at 0515 and there were a few PAX’s getting in some EC. 0530 hits and there are 10 PAX’s including myself. The Q was Bing. Nice group of guys and a solid workout took place.
The AO got it’s name from the fact that they do most of their workout on the soccer field. Billo didn’t get to join me this morning as he was packing all of his stuff for his new location in Pensacola, FL.
Great workout with these Texas PAX’s. If you are ever in San Antonio, TX, check them out.
In San Antonio for Brillo’s Navy graduation from A-School. He was able to attend this workout with me. I can’t tell you how much joy it is to workout with my son. Very proud of him. We had a lot of fun finding this AO, they meet in the Alamo Heights pool parking lot.
We made it on time, and there were a few PAX’s from last visit that remembered me and my ‘Picking Cherries’
The double down option of Carpex’s Wednesday workouts. We had several more PAX’s join us for this AO that started at 5:45. This region of guys are very welcoming and have solid workouts.
I got my buddy Shocker to stick around with me to double down.
Wednesday morning AO at 5am to allow for what they call a double down. They end this AO so that you can make the other 2 options, one a running AO or another bootcamp.
If you are ever in this area, attend one of the Carpex AO’s, they are very solid guys. My buddy Shocker had the Q for the this workout at 5 am. I work with him in the Cary area. We had a solid workout before the rain arrived.
Team 6 showed up in force this morning, 3 out of 4. There were 2 other HIM’s that showed. Some ran/some rucked.

God gives us the ‘want to’ and the ‘ability to’, even when our flesh wants what we want. Go check out Philippians Chapters 1 &2. One of my favorite verses is 1:6 that says, “that he (God) who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
Every Monday they run a Murph in honor of Michael Murphy. They feel like he should be honored more than once a year. Good bunch of guys. Not as many out of towners here.
Another good turnout of F3 race fans and regulars. In round of Mary, they got a taste of ‘picking cherries’.
