This morning the pax that gathered in the gloom at Warthog treated to a little football game. Think of it like Festivus in April. There were feats of strengths, and airing of grievances. All that was needed was the Festivus Pole.

Good evening sports fans! This morning Warthog Field was the site for one of the most outstanding, out of this world football games to ever be played on April 22, 2017. As the sun was starting to rise over the near by runway the dew on the grass field was starting to gleam. The teams started to arrive and do their ritual pregame warm ups. The field has a north-south orientation with a slight breeze coming out of the south south west.

Even though Team 2 did not have the speed, size or numbers, that Team 1 had they rose to the occasion and with a never say die attitude took the field with price and were willing to take on the challenge head on. Team 2 showed early promise with a quick march down the field however a turnover in the redzone on a deflected ball put an end to any early success. However the defense of Team 2 was not willing to admit defeat and was able to record a safety on the first play. After a nice return Team 2 marched down the field and scored a quick touchdown. This would be the last time that Team 2 would enjoy a sizable lead. It wasn’t long before Team 1 took advantage of their size and numbers and scored two fast touchdowns. At this point in the game both offenses stalled and the game was put on the shoulders of both teams defenses. After a few interceptions and a couple of pic 6’s the offenses not wanting to be shown up started to play. Both teams would trade scores. As we entered into the 4th quarter the might Team 2 could not hang in there with Team 1. Team 1 had the game in hand and left Team 2 playing for pride. The final score of the game was a lot closer then what the game was. At the final whistle however both teams were able to come together and congratulate each other an a game well played.

This was also just released by the commissioners office. Bubbles has been fined 100 burpees for a deliberately vicious hit on Speedy Gonzales who was playing in his first game after coming off the IR for knee surgery and rehab. He was also flagged for a flagrant offense pass interference penalty.

The commissioners office will also be investigating rumors and evidence of Kenya taking bribes on the game as there is proof that he had given up on plays where he could have easily made a tag.
