In cadence…..together

Mosey to playground for warm up: SSHx20, Hillbilly’sx12, Moroccan night clubsx10, gravel pickers x10, stretch from plank foot to hand.

Mosey to tennis courts. Partner up – 10 booyah merkins, run opposite directions, 5 burpees when you reach your partner, continue lap in opposite directions, 9 booyah merkins when you reach your partner. Continue laps around the tennis courts until partners complete down to 1 booyah merkin and total 50 burpees. Following a 10 count, we stayed on the tennis courts for escalating corners. Beginning with 10 lunges then escalating for 15 diamond merkins, 20 squats, 25 american hammers – running and bear crawling in between – and back around de-escalating.

Mosey back to the school for curb shuffle, step ups and dips on the benches, and finished on the playground with some ab exercises Mary.

Dog ate my homework

The dog ate my homework – probably one of the lamest and oldest excuses of all time. We are all human and make mistakes. But excuses don’t help anyone. If you mess up, acknowledge the shortcoming, do what you can to fix it and make amends, and then move on.

So this is how it started at 5:29:45am when I arrived at Tequila Sunrise, being reminded that I had committed to Q. No problem, we are all here for some 1st F and that is what we got.

Warm up in the parking lot: SSH x12, windmills x10, americans x10, imperial walkers x10.

Next we partnered up for Dora using the outer row of the parking lot as a track. One partner ran a lap while the other partner exercised rotating after each partner completed the lap. We completed 100 diamond merkins, 200 squats, and 300 american hammers in total. We said the pledge and did 5 burpees for the passing train.

The thang: to the hill on Assembly St in Eagle park for triple nickel with bobby hurleys at the bottom and big boy sit ups at the top. Sssshhhhhhh

Back to the school for a rotation including 12 reverse grip incline merkins in cadence, 10 step ups OYO, and 10 hip slappers against the wall. This was repeated x2 times. Finished in circle with some mary.

Dog Turd Road stk

5 made it out on a 24 degree morning at The Ricky Bobby. This being my 3rd Q, I dug deep into the lexicon in preparation on the night prior – thanks F3 nation.

Warm up: SSH, Imperial Walkers, Windmills, Moroccan night clubs, gravel pickers

Mosey to the track for a Vicious Circle – pax form a line, jogging laps around the track in a tight group, front position sets the pace, last position leaves the pack with a sprint to the middle of the field for 10 merkins. Upon completion, sprint back to join the pack, taking the front position. This was repeated for 4 laps, getting one round with 10 merkins each and another round with 3 burpees each.

Stop at bleachers for 11’s. Alternating dips and step ups with run to middle of field and back.

Following a 10 count, mosey back to the flag and circle up for Captain Thor – 1:4 ratio of big boys and american hammers, escalating up to a 10:40 count. These were done in cadence with the count alternating among pax around the circle.

Having sufficiently flexed our abdominals, we moseyed to the back parking lot for a new routine which was affectionately dubbed Dog Turd Road….. escalator: start with 1 burpee done in cadence (six count) led by Q, lunge walk two parking spaces, 2 burpees in cadence, lunge walk two more spaces, up to 10 burpees and 54 yards of lunge walk. Mosey back to the flag right at time.

Blow Your Nose

There were 5 for a freezing morning at The Ricky Bobby. (that is officially freezing <32 as measured by Sargento’s app).

Warm up: SSH x10, hillbillies x10, Moroccan nigh clubs x10, Gravel pickers x10, alarm clocks

Triple nickel on the big hill: 5 sets with Mike Tysons at the bottom and 5 big boys at the top

Corners in back parking lot: escalate 5 burpees, 10 bonny blairs, 15 diamond merkins, 20 american hammers and de-escalate back around the parking lot.

Mosey to benches by the track for 40’s. Alternating derkins and dips, beginning with 30 derkins/10 dips, 25/15, 20/20, 15/25, 10/30. We all agreed our triceps were pretty swollen after this.

Indian run around track for 3/4 mile total. 4 squats for last position and sprint to the front.

Finish with Mary, LBCs, Freddy Mercs and Flutters.

VQ at The Fighting Yank

Disclaimer and mosey to the bunker for a joint warm up.

Warm up : SSH 12, Imperial walkers 12, Merkins 12, Cotton pickers 12, Frankenstein walks 12 (happy Halloween)

Head out mosey towards the East. 5 Bobby hurleys on your own each lamp post all the way back up Airline St. Plank for the 6 at the stop sign with Main St.

Mosey to parking lot behind the Station for The Thang. Partner up – 10 Hand release merkins – run in opposite directions around the outside of the parking area.  Do 5 burpees half way around when you meet your partner and then keep running back around. Once you re-meet your partner do 9 HR merkins.  Continue same pattern – counting down by one HR Merkin until you get to 0.

Wallsits against the back of the Station building. Hold position while Pax counts off and says their name one at the time.

Mosey down to Stowe park for 11’s on pavement stretch up to Myrtle St, alternating Mike Tyson’s at the bottom and heels to heaven at the top.

Finish with a Dora 1-2-3: 100 flutter kicks, 200 Squats, 300 American hammers and alternating run around the fountain.

We got after it. Started with 15 and plus a late addition with Dirt joining for 16 pax on a beautiful crisp fall morning. We started in the dark and finished after sunrise. I am humbled for the opportunity to lead this group of men.
