HT Loop at Ground Assault

6 runners came out on a humid morning for a Ground Assault run. It’s been a while since we’ve run run Stowe Road/ Samuel Pinkney/Dorie and back, so that was chosen route. This is a great route if you want a straight 5.10 miles without having to tack anything on at the end. Tesla ran in the park.

All Things Balljoint Can’t Currently Do

It’s been since late last year since I have Q’d because of optical issues. Needless to say, I Q-failed the disclaimer. And if any workout needed a “modify as needed”… it would have been this one. But, there were no FNGs and these were all seasoned Pax. They knew the drill.

Sadly, due to shoulder issues, Balljento couldn’t do a lot of the exercises, but he did what he could… just like I kept cutting the running portion short in order to get back to call out the next set of exercises (I’m the Q and can do whatever I want… modify as needed).

We rucked. Snowballs > Hawks Nest > Harris Teeter > Back. All six returned. Dying cockroaches x 40.

South Of Dallas (Bandit, Davinci, Yak..) playing at Primal Brewery (Belmont) on Saturday from 3 to 6pm.

SSH x 15 IC / Imperial Walkers x 15 IC / Gravel Pickers x 15 IC / Plank Jacks x 15 IC / R foot over L stretch / L foot over R stretch / Feet together stretch / Arm stretches, and we were on our way.

Four split from the Shiele Museum pain lab crowd and made their way to Sherwood Elementary.  Two moved quickly and two not so much.  Upon arrival we found Whoopee loitering at the school track just waiting for the fun to begin.

There was lots of conversation about college sports, 2.0s graduating, college life and rucking.

Two guys were putting in the work running precision laps and executing every rep.

Three roughed up guys chose to ruck while the others were running and stopped to complete some reps each time the runners stopped.

Time caught us so we headed back to the Shiele for COT.

Dora 1-2-3
Teams of 2 pax working together to reach cumulative exercise goals of 100, 200, and 300 reps. Pax 1 executes as many reps as possible while Pax 2 sprints 100 yards down and back. Flapjack until team goal is reached. Exercises are a top-to-bottom of body progression, i,e, 100 merkins per team (chest), 200 LBCs per team (core), 300 squats per team (legs). Modified Dora 1-2-3 is 50, 100, and 150 reps.

Mosey to Ida Rankin and do 20 wall steps counting right foot, then do 20 merkins rinse and repeat four times

Bricks
Mosey to bricks at Farmers market, perform 20 Berkins, 20 dumbbells counting right arm, 20 shoulder presses, rinse and repeat

Mosey back to middle school
