Taking it to the Streets

Warm Up: SSH, Goof Balls, Mtn CLimbers,
Moesy to the wall next to 321 for some Monkey Humpers, all these years and not a single car honks when they go by.

11’s at the post office, shoulder taps and CDD’s
Once that was finished we moved to the middle of main street.
10s and 20s with a partner. Partner 1 moseyed to redlight A while partner 2 moseyed to redlight B. Once there each person does 10 merkins. Then return to the beginning and do 20 squats together. each time you get to the red light the number of merkins goes down. YHC did not judge said distance so we ended up covering a lot of area on the streets of Gastonia.

Recently a lot of events have taken place in the streets all over the USA. I wanted to do something in the streets this morning that showed others what Men of good Character look like. Notice I did not say showing others what good Merkin Form looks like!

Back in the Saddle Again!

It feels good to be back with the great Men of F3! The obstacles of the pandemic have only made the Pax think of new and creative ways to stay connected. When I pulled up Big Pappy was getting the shovel flag out and dialing up the Ole 56K modem for an experience like no other with The Matrix going live with T-ron, Huck, and Hipaa. Even telling us that limited numbers in groups cant hold us back. We warmed up together then we split up for the next 40 minutes or so.

The Thang!
Warm UP: SSH, Mo Rockin Night Clubs, Goof Balls, then a lil thang called Monkey Humpers.
Mosey to the bottom lot:
10 Merkins, 20 Squats, 30 Hillbillies, 40 Lunges, 50 Lbc’s. We did one exercise then a lap stacking as you go then working our way back down to Merkins.
Mosey to the Amphitheatre, its odd how refined Folsom is beards, Amphitheatre, dang ole bunch of So-Crates.
Australian Mtn Climbers 10 10 Big Boys, 10 CDD’s. Each round decrease the MTN Climbers and CDDs. Keep the BB’s at 10.
Once we finished these up we moseyed back to meet up with the Matrix.

New Kids on the Block

As we are in the first week of our “self Quarantine” to help slow the spread of the corona virus, YHC is feeling the strain of not being as socially involved as I normally am. Also as leaders in the community we have an obligation to any new Men who come out to F3. Surprisingly Folsom has had a few the past few weeks and we anticipated more with the closing of local gyms and other social gathering spots. the Decisions we are making now can be stressful tough choices but ultimately we know these choices that are being made now will help propel us to a better future. The NKTOB have been posting regularly so YHC was Honored to show these new Men a little bit about how we do Thangs.

Also today is a great friend of mines Bday Cody “female” who introduced me to my wife, we became friends at UNCC, she is married to my best friend and at one time could fight most guys and hold your feet to do Keg stands. She became more like a sister and if you ask Allen Tate she’s been known to call a fly by while going down 74 from the beach and stopping traffic faster than a state trooper. But that was a long long time ago. Now she is a nurse and a loving Step Mom who cares for her family and helps her community.

So I called some exercises that she may do or in a number special to the day.
Warm Up: 3Burpees, 19 SSH, 20 Monkey Humpers,

Mosey and we did some de escalating 10’s with Merkins and 20 squats in the middle each time. One Pax goes one way to the speed bump, other Pax goes the opposite way to the other speed bump. Social distancing and team work. you cant do the squats until both Pax meet.

Mosey to the Flag for the pledge then some work on the dry concrete. ” I’m always thinking of you Volt”

My first Q at the Sword, if you have not posted it is very interesting.
Most of life I have learned more about God and being a Christian through Church.
As of lately, F3 and the small groups have made a tremendous impact on my spiritual walk.
We have the HOH on Thursday, Q Source on Sunday, and now the Sword.

YHC had been on the outs most of the week, fighting a cold.
Nothing makes you feel better than gettin after it and helps get the snot out the sinuses.

Oompa has a new job with the local Mob of Gaston county.
I noticed he had two kills while running this morning, then he hopped a curb and spun the tires in the classic Mob car a Lincoln.

Whats yah 20? for 2020

Well its a new year, and the first Q Ive had since 2019. About this time In 2018 I was just starting my path into the world that is known as F3.

Warm Up: SSH, MTN Climbers, and Mo Rockin Knight clubs.
Mosey:
We began at the opposite side of the tennis courts what I call the new parking lot. Gastone did something similar a few weeks ago and I loved this so I gave it a try with the Pax this morning.
* Partner up one goes up the hill one way and the other goes up hill the other way to a said distance.
10 merkins and meet in the middle for 20 squats. Each time drop from 10,9,8, and so on. Always meeting in the middle for the 20 squats.

  • next at the covered area we did step ups, dips, derkins, x 25
    Mosey to the Dallas Triangle, ” this is not the name but it sounds good”
    Hill Billy Squats, Flutters, and Seal Jacks x20 and we did that 3x.
    Mosey: while heading back Tyson noticed we almost had 3 miles in so we made a lap at the bottom to give us 3 total.
I came up the name of the BB just before I started to write this up. My question is to the Pax, What is your 20 for 2020? In trucker talk or Policing probably anything else that involves a two way radio of sorts it means your location. That can be your Church, home, AO, office, car, wherever you are. How are you going to make an impact while at these locations? I know for myself I hope to make a positive impact.
I challenge everyone make the effort to step up and get out of your normal routine in the “20” of your choice. I used to be a Camel smokin if you see me runnin pick me up kind of guy. T-Square EH’d me, I stepped out and found a new “20” with F3 in January 2018.

Back Half of a country Song.

With the weather being unpredictable today I planned for everything to take place under the shelter. With a lot of kids and families sick so close to Christmas I was not gonna have some kids Dad sick for the holidays.

The Thang:
Tabata style 20 seconds of work 10 seconds of rest. Repeat 3x at the end of each circuit 25 of the exercise listed.

About half way through the workout this morning mumble chatter was going well.
Towards the end I mentioned to Sparky that my week was like an old Country song, minus the death and divorce part. My M. Had some Dental work done, my Dog had to have emergency surgery on his paw, and my Son has been sick for several days. I laughed for a moment and said “at least we are on the back half of the country song”. You know that part when the chord changes and there seems to be more determination in the singers voice to finish or bring it home. The right attitude and mindset can help you with life. Thanks to the men of F3 I am able to take on life’s obstacles better than before. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, remember that ultimately God carries us through life. Without his perfect gift to us none of this would even matter. Love those who need it, be kind and stop an extra moment over the next few days to listen to what random story your kid is telling you. Also
