It rained…..√
We got wet…..√
It was no big deal…..√
As Balljoint pointed out in his Slack post last night……you don’t go out in the rain for yourself, you do it for the guy beside you. Very grateful for the men who came out this morning to do just that!
Look for an announcement coming soon regarding the Dream Center and the need for HIM. Also….
3/12 Rice N Beans
3/16 Food Ruck
4/13 Convergence & Community Foundation Run
4/20 Extinction Run
Prayers for Jackson Hall and family, Jackson Curti who has developed an infection, BOS’ MIL for upcoming tests for a spot on her lung, Tardi Gras’ friend diagnosed with breast cancer.
I’m Anchorman – you stay classy, Gastonia.
Good times out there this morning with most of the jokes coming at Orangeman’s expense. After all, during the warm up he did say, “I float better with a ‘pool boy’ between my legs.” Nuff said.
As the jokes continued we did some bear crawls, nur, and Lt. Dan’s up the hill with dips, step ups and derkins or inclined merkins as our reward for getting to the top of the hill. Moseyed, stopped for 100 squats and 100 LBC, moseyed to the bridge wall for wall-sits and dirty hookups. Continued to mosey to the basketball courts for another 100 squats and 100 LBCs. Back to the flag for 5 minutes of stretching.
Bubba Sparxxx and Montana coming back strong from their respective surgeries, well done men!
Reminder about Q school on March 2nd and the 2nd F lunch being moved to Pita Wheel in Belmont.
Prayers for Bubba Sparxxx, Montana, Jane Fonda, Breaker’s aunt Gainelle, Virus’ father-in-law, Orangeman’s three friends, PAX who we haven’t seen lately…..reach out to them and encourage them to come back out.

Orangeman’s “Pool Boy”…..AKA “Pull Buoy”
Quick BB for the Shaker’s month end numbers. 3 ruckers & 6 runners for Ground Assault this morning.
It was a solid workout and we did some hard things, but most importantly, it was yet another reminder that being a part of F3 surrounds you with some pretty amazing HIMs. Thank you brothers!
7 runners, 6 ruckers, and 18 degrees. Great showing as always at Ground Assault.
2nd F lunch is today. If you haven’t signed up for the challenge yet, stop right now and do it before you forget.

Keep Ocho in your prayers as he navigates being laid off and searches for a new job.

I was grateful to be asked by Flintstone to Q The Sword this week and was thankful for the holiday so I could make it happen. Lots of rucking and running in all directions and with different start times but we all ended up back at the start for some devotional time at 6a. Colossians 3:12 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” The focus of our discussion was on kindness and acting on the opportunities put in front of us to be kind to others…..and that we should be actively looking for those opportunities each and every day.
There are a lot of prayer requests out there and here are ours from this morning. I hope you can find a moment to pause today and add these requests to your prayers. Jackson Curti finishing up his 3rd round of chemo, Turtleman and his cancer battle, Bedpan’s coworker’s husband with liver cancer, Dr. Dolittle’s wife (F3 Denver) in the hospital and his need for support as a caretaker, Huckleberry’s kidney’s improving and he needs our support as he starts to add some exercise back into his routine – reach out and encourage him, Balljoint battling significant pain, Oompa and his kidneys, Wirenut’s uncle passed and with the passing of his Dad about a year ago, his Mom could use our prayers, as well as Wirenut’s whole family, Dolph’s grandmother passed, Gavel’s M’s grandmother also passed.
It was an honor to lead this morning.

22 strong at Tequila Sunrise this morning. Well done brothers, thanks for being out there for the birthday beatdown.
Kicked off with the disclaimer, Mission of F3, pledge, and a count-off….then a short mosey for some warmup.
SSH, Low (really) Slow Squats, Mountain Climbers, Toy Soldiers, and 58 LBCs in cadence. Despite Flintstone claiming I was 75 yrs old all week, he suddenly changed that to 20 when we started the 58 LBCs in cadence. Go figure.
To the tennis courts.
Leg Wreckers – two groups, one holds Al Gore position and the second moves to the other side of the courts via Lt. Dan’s, then Elvis meets Forest, Duck Walk, and finally Apollo Ono.
Killer Bs – Bear Crawl halfway, Broad Jump the second half, finish with 5 burpees. Rinse and repeat descending the burpees to 1. At some point Tardi Gras told me to not invite him to any more of my birthday parties…..glad to hear he was having fun.
Back to the school for some Dora….100 Tap Jacks (great coordination men), 200 Jump Squats, 300 step ups….or as many as we got to do before time.

2nd F – Lunch 1/17 at Whisky Mill 2nd F Lunch for January
3rd F – We all carry some sort of burden, so reach out to a single PAX, or the whole PAX, to help you through. One minute devotional: Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. —Galatians 6:2
Prayers for Turtleman, Jackson Hall, Jackson Curti, Montana, and all of us who have requests in our hearts. It was a honor to lead today.

It was overheard in the gloom early this morning, “When did the upper 20s become not that cold anymore?” But 5am is still dark, so those PAX who “forgot” their safety lights were gifted new ones for their run. The glow of lights could be seen for miles……ahh, what a sight.
When everyone returned back safely we went over the announcements…….
3rd F Twenty-Twenty-FOR volunteer opportunity on Tuesday 1/9
3rd F Rice N Beans
More about Rice N Beans
2nd F lunch on Wednesday 1/17
2nd F Lunch for January
And then prayer requests……..Today I’m going to ask that you pick just one of the recent prayer requests you’ve heard and spend a moment praying specifically for that person/situation. And if you are comfortable doing so, let them know you did.
Always an honor to serve.
I’m Anchorman, you stay classy Gastonia.
We had 6 ruckers and 3 runners at Members Only this morning with Montana joining us for Q Source. Great to see how well he’s healing from surgery, keep up the good work brother. Grateful for this group this morning and for the HIM who rolled his eyes yesterday saying he was going to have a late night and doubt he’d make today…….but I knew he would!
Here’s a short excerpt from Q Source that led to some good discussions.
F3 uses the acronym TEAM to encapsulate the Team Development process the Virtuous Leader employs:

A is for Accountability: setting and maintaining high Standards within the Team–the Virtuous Leader instills a culture of Accountability within the Team that fosters Teamwork and mutual respect.
